Could you imagine? I asked TVD’s dad to convince him to come back on Saturday lol, he looked at me and smirked and I couldn’t really make out what he said but I think it was along the lines of “we’ll see what the league says”

I could have 100000000% misheard him because that stadium was LOUD

If TVD continues to play like he did Saturday he will 100% leave.
 
Curious to see how this coaching staff does in convincing players to return.
In years past it seems like anyone who has a halfway decent year and was eligible to go to NFL bolted. Not talking about 1st rd guys but guys that are getting late round grades

I think it depends how this year goes. If Miami has a very good season maybe they come back to try and reach the playoffs. I believe the playoff expands next year.

Dawson said he was happy with the running but he noticed that the safeties were the ones doing the tackling. That let him know that they were focused on stopping the run so he switched it up to a passing attack.

Return on investment analysis. Was it worth forgoing ANY amount of NFL money to spend another year under subpar strength and development and coaching that wasn't making them a better player while risking injury at the same time? We talked a lot about average guys leaving early and going undrafted, but some of those guys may have thought they would get worse with another year under the previous regime, and they're probably not wrong.

Moving forward, you'll probably see less of that. Guys like our offensive line will be hard to pry away from another year of top flight development and winning football unless they're projected as first rounders.

Gotta put the NIL money to the test. Cohen is gone but if we can return 4/5 starters. The line is gonna move folks.
 
If you compare how well our line handled TAMU’s stunts vs how they did ours, you can see the disparity in the level of coaching. Our unit seems to move and think as one cohesive unit.

I can’t remember the last time Miami played a game and I felt like third and long wasn’t a death sentence. Just felt like we had the whole playbook available at all times. And the RBs need their credit too. Really good work in pass pro as well.

We both played OL in HS and I pointed out the best thing about a former OL as your HC is that you know he's going to prioritize the line. And when you have an OL that moves people off the line it opens up the whole offense. You can run, pass, bubble screen, tunnel screen, anything you want to do. And we have had athletes the last few years but without any time for them to run routes or w/ DL knifing through on screens it just blows up everything.

Little brother said he watched the game and it's the best OL he has seen in CFB this year. I pointed out how Matt Lee is the glue and as a former C I can't begin to explain how good Lee is. And the best part about him is that he's mature, smart and a leader of the OL, he holds his linemates accountable for penalties and he's the glue of that whole thing.

And I'll hate to see him go after this year but I'm pumped about Francavilla coming in next year to take his place. We might regress a little on the OL next year because Lee is so mature and such a leader w/ all his experience. But man it's going to be fun to watch this OL all season long. Really happy with the turnaround so fast from last year's dumpster fire to this year's unit. Mario deserves his props.

I'd like to see what tripp can do and am intrigued by the thought of Mauigoa at C.
