Offensive Leadership

Talking and being vocal is great, but I want players who set the example by their professionalism, demeanor, and how they perform on the field. That’s going to have a more last impression than someone screaming at ya.

How should we feel this year regarding the OL... optimistic or pessimistic?

I’d like to think cautiously optimistic. In my mind, there’s little doubt we have more talent there than we have in a few years, and we will come out of the season feeling good about the OLine, but whether they’re ready for week one, or will have growing pains, we’ll just have to see.

I don't do it as much as I should but I need to re-watch game film. Defenses can outsmart the OL and the offense as a whole, and you can't blame the OL alone. Good play calling and using the play action pass effectively will lessen the burden on the OL verses drop back passing. I guess besides good muscle at OL, we need good play calling and good preparation.

I love Homer but if he's our offensive leader is Homer we are in trouble when things aren't going right. Homer leads by example but he's not vocal enough to be our alpha of the offense. In a perfect world, it's Rosier but I think guys like Ahmmon, DeeJay, Gauthier might be the answer. More of a leader by committee.

Calm down.
