Seven games in it’s pretty apparent that we’re not going to be able to protect Mensah against a half way decent pass rush.

Given this liability it seems that we are going to have to adjust the scheme to something similar to Texas under Sark: lots of screens to receivers, backs, and tight ends, mixed with quick passes and play-action shots. That’s probably the best thing we can do that doesnt require good protection. I don’t follow the Dolphins but Tua seemed to do a lot of it a few years ago

I’m not an X’s and O’s guy at all but Mensah will get destroyed against a decent line if we keep doing what we do. I hate the horizontal game but at this point we don’t have much choice.

Almost 400 yards passing and 4 tds against supposedly one of the best defensive front 7,s in fbs makes us want to change scheme. Seriously
Yes we should.

Idk if you saw the other thread but it's all Malachi Toney. He would make any of us look like a genius.

So clearly, Dawson doesn't know what he's doing and Toney should call plays & continue being the best player in the country

I hate to say you’re an idiot but we have made more changes to the scheme this year than multiple years combined.

The run game variation out of the same formations coupled with willingness to show the downfield play (especially to Toney) really does open up the Beck special offense. We just have a below average to bad offensive line

I’ve seen more tosses to the RB this year than every year combined Dawson has been OC

Your parents didn’t give you enough attention

You lost any credibility you had by saying Dawson should be more like Sark, when Texas fans want to run Sark out of Austin.

Would like to see alot more of the rolling pocket called for Mensah and the offense.

Dawson is a scapegoat on this site for some reason, but all we do is put up points and yards on O…Hetherman is teflon though
i see you good job GIF by Bounce

Did you see his stat line today? I think this board expects 900 yards and 100% completion percentage every game.

I mean 52 points before we put in the 3rd sringers....is it nitpicking or is our our fansbase really not happy with the offense?

I said this earlier. I think it was Mensah deliberately throwing what was available rather than playing hero ball (cf Ward 2024 made adjustment sfter Dawson chewed him out).

Just please, for the love of everything holy…stop running between the guards/between the A gaps so dadgum much.

It will be 3rd and long and we do that garbage

I’m not criticizing Dawson. He’s done a great job. But we’ve played absolutely no one and Mensah only has 2.6 sec to throw. Thats 63rd in the power 4 out of 68 quarterbacks. If you think that’s a recipe for success in the playoffs good luck.

Lmao relax. Their weakness is on the back end. They suck at it! But their claim to fame is being the number 1 rush defense, you don’t need to run against them when you can blow them out passing for 3-400 hundred yards.
