I do agree Richt needs to hire a veteran OC, but let's be real - an NFL OC would not have saved us against LSU. Our OL still needs a talent upgrade - need our '17 and '18 guys to develop fast, and we need a QB with championship potential. Both are way more important at this point than an OC, but I do agree we need one in order to take the next step.

How about someone start a thread entitled, 'Special Teams is Garbage'? Because it's our least productive unit of the 3 by far.

I'm not yelling for a championship NOW. I'm yelling that in YEAR 3 we should be further along at several positions from a talent accumulation and development standpoint. The reason those 2 facets of his job are suffering are DIRECTLY attributable to the fact he INSISTS on spending time calling plays when he should be MANAGING THE TEAM.

He's a horrible play caller and the domino impact from him choosing to allocate his time and resources to something he's not good at are KILLING the development of this program. We came 2 miracle catches away from having a 5 loss season last year and we looked like suspect garbage against LSU despite having ALL SUMMER to prepare for that game.

You define success however you want, I'm not happy with where he has this program in Year 3.

This Saturday, last saturday, and the saturday before that mean absolutely nothing. I don't care what stats his offense puts up against St Brendan's, St Theresa, and Lourdes Academy. The fact of the matter is that in any one given year there are only 3,4, or at most 5 games that "matter" on the schedule and Richt's offense face planted in the only meaningful one we've played thus far this year. It's his THIRD year here and the offensive scheme and execution are no better than when he first got here. Richt the recruiter/developer has also failed at his job due to the fact we don't have a live body on the roster that can beat out the holdever QB that AL Golden recruited.

He's a garbage play caller, plain and simple. I don't mind him as a head coach / figurehead but his insistence on continuing to call plays is hurting this team from top to bottom. He should spend more time guiding this team from a higher altitude as opposed to being mired in the muck of weekly offensive gameplanning and play calling.

It has to be awesome to be the boss and have people make excuses for you.
