We're currently:

#116 in Points Scored Per Game
#113 in Points Allowed Per Game

I will say - we'll take a huge jump in both after playing CCSU this weekend. And App St & Mich St are probably much better teams than we initially thought at the beginning of the year.

I don't think we're near as bad as this looks - but man....this is a rough stat to see

We are worse .. I dont know what games you are watching, we cant tackle to save our lives, we cant catch tds, cant block, cant break a tackle, qb hurt, Diaz is corching and jumping up and down for simple 1st down plays, etc.. We are a joke.. MSU just came in our house and blew us out, LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO

Get out of here with all that reasoning LOL. All you need is the look test. If it looks like trash and smells like trash--for 3 games in a row--its probably trash!

I know this is sky is falling there is no silver lining week - I get it. And things look bad right now, no question.

But is it as bad as 2019 when we lost 3 straight to FIU, Duke & La Tech? I don't think so. 2 losses to Alabama & Mich St (who there's a good chance could end up our 2 toughest opponents this year) is much more respectable.

I'm not all ra ra we're still undefeated in the Coastal - but I'm pretty confident this team will be able to crack the Top 100 in Offense and Defense by the End of the Year. Which is a low bar, I know - I just think it's not quite as bad as it feels right now.
 
Drops and getting off schedule due to penalties kill drives/scores.

Wrong personnel and tackling blockers make it easy to score.

Using the Miami as your girlfriend analogy....

I'd say she was 250 lbs in 2019, trimmed down to 180 in 2020, and is back up to 210 in 2021. This year feels in between 2019 & 2020 - which means 7 wins overall.

All I'm saying is let's not forget recent history. Things aren't as bad as they were just 15 games ago. We'll see how it plays out though.

Nah, we're dog****. I could actually see CCSU giving Miami a game.
