Offense bringing up the defense

First team D lines up against a scout team O mimicking that weeks opposing offense.

Not during the spring and fall camp and that my friend has been the problem.

I think it’s very possible we will see much a improved defensive for a couple reasons this coming season. Foremost, practicing against a face paced spread offense daily as compared to Enos ball should make a huge difference. Are defense is going to be tested daily mentally to play fast just based on the pace we plan on going. I’m interested in how much a difference it makes. Secondly, we have the horses up front to help the backend. Manny really needs to focus on the defense with Baker.

what's going to help the defense is not the fast paced offense but the ability to score points and get first downs. I have mentioned this before and most seem to agree: an offense that can't convert 3rd downs (we were dead last in that dept.) is not helping your defense at all. I agree though that offensive production helps defensive production in many ways.
