Off lineman taken in the draft since 2000

Rack and stack those same teams, not by how many OL drafted, but how each unit performed in a given year.

This team has talents in lumps. The biggest talent gap has been at the Coordinator position. Coley, Dorito, Enos, Baker just the latest in a long line of weak coordinators. After that at the QB spot. I mean, I love Malik Rosier. And I love the fact Kirby Freeman beat FSU. But seriously?

And we always have a hole somewhere that's super hard to hide and we get exposed. This year I think our OL should look pretty good. Meanwhile at LB, I'm not confident we'll have even one mid-level ACC kid or better, much less two, which is ridiculous since that's Manny's core position group.

This guy gets it.

Just reminds me of how bad our coaching has been.

We had one season where 4 of the 5 starting OL were NFL guys.

Flowers - NFL starter
Feliciano - NFL starter
McDermott
Linder - NFL starter
Henderson - NFL starter
Shane mcdermott was one of the most dependable guys on that line, too. Him, feliciano and linder were a heck of an interior.

People cam do whatever they want with statistics, I guess.

That’s less than 1 kid a year, and plenty of them a\were marginal nfl guys at most.

The OL problem we have had is we couldn’t field 8 capable players the majority of those seasons. Forget the 1 kid headed to the NFL. Our guys 4-8 have been a hot mess train wreck many years. And some of those ‘nfl guys,’ there were playin as true frosh because we had zero talent or depth, but as zion nelson demonstrated, just because he may play in the nfl in a few years doesn’t mean he’s a capable LT as a true frosh.

We need depth, talent, experoence, competition, balance across positions, and an attitude shift on OL.

And they haven't won ****.

They beat our *** twice. And have been better than us 90% of the time since 2003. But your point is valid. We need all positions to have talent to get back to the Top 4 teams which are clearly better than everyone else -- Bama, Clemson, Taint, Oklahoma. Those guys have separated themselves with more talent across coaches and players.
