Of all the players on our roster...

The only real answer to this question is Hall, Carter, and Ivey.

Our DL has a great mix of veteran players and young talent that will pick up most of the slack Willis and Jackson took with them. Our secondary OTOH is replacing too many players with nothing but young players to feel comfortable. We need one of Ivey or Blades to take the next step and both our safeties to show us what they are which for now are just gigantic question marks.

I have no interest in seeing that kid from Butler (forget his name.) Even to my untrained eye, I had doubts about him that have since proven--I believe--correct.

I see him m having good and quick feet, height, and potential to be good, eventually, but needs S&C work. That was my reaction--and I have an untrained eye. (I'm no Lance Roffer.) When I looked at his Butler video, I just thought he didn't look powerful and thick enough. Ideally, he could use a redshirt year and a lot of weight room work. But he's already in his last year. I don't know how you redshirt him.

So, I don't want to see too much of him, because it means we're very thin at center.

I would love to see him in 2020 after another year of practice and S&C. But don't know that's possible. Of course the coaches might see it differently (but what do they know? they don't have my extensive message board experience.)

Actually, there are so many young players with incredible potential that it's hard to name or just a few.

Earlier, I panned Tommy Kennedy. I think the kid has some some good tools to work with. Quick hands and feet, good balance. But I think he needs more bulk and strength. It would be nice if he could be redshirted but he's already a 4th or 5th year player.
