Oct 3rd- The end of Dabo

I think Mario learned a lot from last year. We got into the playoffs over ND because of a few reasons. 1) We won head to head in the opener. 2) We won the beauty contest in the last few games of the season. 3) We won the beauty contest with COMMON opponents over ND (Pitt + Stanford)

LSU could easily be a team that we are in a beauty contest against if we somehow drop a game or 2 (I don't think that will happen this year).

Because of this, I believe Mario will have to convincingly win against them. Don't allow the committee any evidence to make an argument against us.

Even if its not Dabo's last game, I think this game will be the kiss of death for the guy (if the LSU win wasn't already).
 
If he gets his *** kicked again, like he did last Saturday,.... he won't make it till Oct. 3.
 
Clemson has a bye week after the Miami game.

I don't think Neff and the Admin will up and "fire" Dabo. He's done too much for the school. But there may be some tough discussions about "retirement". It's no secret Dabo is not a fan of the state of College football right now. He can go the way of Saban, and a number of the basketball coaches in the ACC have gone.

Then again, if he gets beat before the Miami game by either UNC or Cal, and the Canes crush him, he could get ushered out the door...

Death comes for us all. 10/3 Mario will snatch his soul and with it end the fictitious & scummy cheating Clemson program.

Popcorn is already being popped in anticipation.

I don't think he can go the way of Saban and go into TV. I think he's become pretty universally unlikable among a good sized contingent of CFB fans. I think the best he could hope for is to take Jimbo's job on ACC Network if he went that route.

More likely for him, I'm afraid, is the Tommy Tuberville route.
 
This dude has been so ****y for years while he was "on top," and doubled down with all his copium the past couple of seasons, but it's been freaking glorious to watch his demise. Dude loved what he did to Al Golden at our home stadium. He deserves a get back by our '26 Canes.

would be a great full circle story.... blowing them out and being the game that gets Dabo fired.....

but then again... I'm in the same boat with FSU.. I kinda want them to keep these corch's for a long time and be average at best....
 
It's a Saturday game and will likely be showcased, even if Clemson isn't playing well.

They're going to give Clemson the puncher's chance at home and say it's the best team (talent-wise) Miami has faced thus far.
