You really think Richt is just gonna hire an oc with a different philosophy than him? He just said the offense was clicking in the 2nd half of Pitt.

Richt is an offensive self proclaimed guru. The problem is his offense has never done much. I think when he was at fsu the reality was Bobby was the reason it went well.

I doubt Richt just hands over the keys and says I'll sit back on the headset and smirk. So if he hires the texas tech ex coach or the younger Briles or some bull**** straw man it wont matter. He will just impose the Bobby Bowden play action into a zero blitz scheme once the tight ends are back.

I know we all have high hopes this wont be the case. But last I checked searles and richt Jr are getting pay raises this offseason.

Now I could be wrong. I hope I am wrong. If Richt cant call plays and cant coach the offense why the heck would our cheap *** school pay 4 million on top of an OC salary?

A key item regarding Richt turning play calling over to an OC is that it frees Richt up to work more with his position coaches.

If you're gonna hire old skool position coaches who know how to teach kids then you need to focus more on recruiting as a head coach. If you're gonna hire younger, less experienced position coaches who thrive at recruiting then, as a head coach you need to be able to spend more time working with those younger position coaches.

My hope in this regard is that we hire a competent, aggressive play calling OC and CMR gets to spend more time with coach Hartley on special teams.

Oh yeah dear son you're fired, merry xmas pops!

He needs to be honest with him. He should say. " Being a QB coach is clearly not for you. Once I retired you have 0% chance of getting hired by another team. You are 28 years old and still have the opportunity to use your degree to get a non football related job. Maybe my connections at the U can help you land a job that pertains to your original major. Otherwise, when I retire in 4-5 years you will be 33 and no one is going to hire a 33year old with no experience in your desired field."

if we all honestly answer a simple question, this will make something crystal clear.

heres the question --- if you are a successful, cutting edge, in demand OC, knowing what is going on with the Miami
program, would you even seriously consider coming to Coral Gables and working under Mork Richt, especially with Mork Jr hanging around ?

NO is the correct and honest answer and is moot anyway because Rosie O'Donnell has a greater chance of being named
Miss Universe than there is a chance of Mork hiring an OC.

You don't have to be some bubble gum, throw it 60 times a game to be effective in college.

A lot of these guys you are claiming are gurus are exposed every single time they face a real defense.

Richt turned things over to the OC at UGA. Not sure why you think that cant happen here.

The admin/BOT will have to make it happen though.

But why not wait to see what the hire is first before proclaiming failure?

Praying beyond hope that Richt makes the needed and necessary changes on his staff once the bowl game hits 00:00. There’s not a moment to waste or the 2019 recruiting class will end up @50th in the rankings. No one wants to play in that crap fest of an offense. He can’t be that stupid to believe having Jonny JR on staff, Searles at OL coach, Hartley at ST coach, and himself at OC really makes sense much less works. If he doesn’t make the required changes I say we start mutiny on the bow by putting the pressure on Blake to make it happen. Mark can’t be that ignorant or stupid, can he?

Honestly ask yourselves this would any of you fire your own son.you'd fire someone else so why do some expect cmr to fire his.I'm not saying junior doesn't deserve it.think everyone involved with the offense should be walking on shaky ground.
