Bottomline is our AD Blake James is terrible and we need to replace him with someone competent who can manage a successful athletic program.

It's about coaching tree, and he has, shall we say, a very small tree with not too many branches.....he cut his teeth working with Chuck Amato at NCState, which is useless nowdays because most of the coaches on that staff have retired...the next stop was Middle Tennessee State under Stockstill....Stockstill has had some good offense coaches, but most of those have moved on...he worked for Dan Mullen who also had to build up his tree even after working under Urban Meyer...this is why former AD Sam Jankovich was not big on promoting coordinators to HC...he wanted to hire HC as they already had a staff and tree established...this is not necessarily a bad mark on Diaz, it is just something he needs to establish correctly from the outset.

Blake James doesn't understand that as he is unqualified for this position. So pathetic. Self induced cancer James is.

That and the crap recruiting class coming in. It's much tougher to excel/win with the lesser talent we get. After all, we don't have Da Gawd doing any coaching/evaluating for us.

I don't think he understands college football, but that is not the real issue at hand...bigger issue are the people who call the shots....the BOT and people with the purse strings....they are running the AD like a Mom and Pop pizzeria...he is just a messenger boy for them.

he isnt striking out at all. no one knows who's the actual candidates and who aren't at this point. all you guys did was run w bad info from a staffer who thought he knew. none of you dudes knew the feeley hire until it actually happened

Canes fans, also: Diaz hasn’t said anything, but since this seems to be taking days he just must have missed on everyone, we are getting a plan Z, because the rumor mills has said x and h and b, never mind no one knows who has or hasn’t been considered and what agents are leaking things, he can’t be doing a through national search, so OH **** THIS ISNT LOOKING GOOD.

Hey, at least this fan base is consistently inconsistent.
 
No additional good candidates have been taken off the market since the search began. Take the time to get it right. I don't know about the S&C guy, maybe he is into the latest science and nutrition (Manny likes the scientific approach). Could be good.

I'm holding out hope for the dark horse OC to be Yost. His new contract at TT is 600k per year. Slam dunk. Offer 1 mil and call it a day.

I think it’s the guy from Clemson and it will be announced after the game tomorrow night....hopefully they have the rest of the staff ( trooper/Seider we need some recruiters) also ready to announce at the same time.
