OC options?.....

I think They hired him permanently
Naw they haven’t decided yet. It’ll all depend on who the new coach will be and if he wants to retain Kitchens or not. Rumor is that Kitchens has done so well and is loved by all the players especially Mayfield so much that he’ll get an interview for HC by John Dorsey.

I watch Every game of theirs. He’s been great for Baker and all of the offensive players of the Cleveland Browns

So dont hire a good OC because he might leave?

Jon Richt would stay 60 years, is that what you prefer?
No not what i was saying at all. I'll happily take Kiffin but no way he is here in 1-2 years so you have to prepare for that already versus most of these other names mentioned

Mike LaFleur is a unknown that I would love to get. Is the passing game coordinator for the 49ers and has been with Kyle Shanahan Since 2014 when they worked together in Cleveland.
Shane Waldron Is in the same position for the LA Rams and has been with Sean McVay since 2016.
Cale Gundy of Oklahoma is also one that would be nice.

I’m a Clevelander and what’s crazy is that they allowed Kitchens to call the plays of the last preseason game just for shyts and giggles and he absolutely killed it. The opposing team couldn’t stop our 2nd and 3rd team players and they had a ball with his play calling. That’s when I told my entire family and everyone who would listen that he is our next OC and a future HC after I looked up his coaching history/biography and saw that his pedigree is on point.

Always going to have to prepare for that. Good offense is hard to come by in the NFL, so any OC who lights it up at Miami will be getting NFL offers by year 2. That's why you plan for that. For example, Kiffin as Assistant HC/playcalling OC, Dorsey as non playcalling co OC (like Bedenbaugh now) , as soon as Kiffin leaves Dorsey is ready. He knows he'll be in line after Kiffin leaves, so it's big step up from App State.

Why would Kiffen go from being a HC to an OC? Use your brains, people.

Money. Plain and simple. Kiffin makes 950k at FAU. Yes, under 1 mil. Offer him up to 2 mil and OC autonomy. Brains say take the paycheck and a job that is 100x higher profile, and might even get a chance of revenge against Saban.

I like it. Now does Diaz have the goods to make it happen? Or does he hire a ******* buddy like Ponce?

Frank Ponce coached at serval high schools in Miami, including Miami High, Miami Northwestern, and Killian. He helped build FIU with TY Hilton as the recruiting coordinator

This seems to be the leader in the clubhouse and not super thrilled, he’s QB coach at Louisville and I’d be cool with that here but OC 🤷🏻‍♂️
