Ponce would be monumentally stupid, but par for the course with the head coaching choice. Our offense needs a complete overhaul, so our defensive minded head coach with zero experience will turn to an offensive coordinator who didn't call plays. That way they can both learn on the job together.

List seems pretty robust. Are these all spread / air raid guys? Why no Fresno State OC?
 
Bedenbaugh. Instantly improves OL recruiting and play. Oklahoma offense would be amazing. Rick wouldn't leave pro style, I suspect Diaz realizes fans think he isnt ready for the job and it was a lazy, uninspired hire so he will go all out to fix the team.

One other thing: Diaz sure as **** isn't making 4+ million. So if he is making 2.7-3 mil (realistically) plus the 1 mil BOT said for OC, he could legit offer Kiffin 1.7 mil - 2 mil which is a huge pay raise from FAU. Kiffin can recruit, plus he annoys Saban which is awesome. Would basically be a pairing like Orgeron and Aranda. A national title as OC in Miami and Kiffin is back in the running for NFL HC gigs or his pick of CFB. He knows Miami gets him closer to getting back to his old station in life than FAU.

I'm fairly certain Briles is making under a million at FSU. If Miami stole him from FSU it would be hilarious and Manny instantly becomes my hero.

I want the guy from Oklahoma personally. Bedenbaugh.

But i think Manny would need to bring in another guy with HC experience to be around him. Not sure who that could be.

Got it. I know app state pretty well that would be the equivalent of hiring Dougans. Not that it couldn’t work somehow , just not good hire

Good post as usual. Especially the bold. Diaz hears this negative outcry and is going nuts as we type. He is gonna die to make Us believe in him.

Trying to stick to guys who have to recruit FL or come from a tremendous pedigree. I probably should’ve had Derek Dooley on here too...he might want a guy with HC experience.
