OC Hired - Good - But What About HIghsmith

Is he in, or not?

To me, Highsmith would be the more long-term stability leadership for our football program - regardless of whether Manny can cut it or not.

Glad we got an OC - but we need to get Alonzo. Bad. Real bad.

I love Highsmith....he is a real Cane.
However, not sure he would be great at selecting coaches.
This program needs a college coach who runs spread and he needs to have, or belong to, a rich coaching tree.
What this program needs is an accomplished AD more than anything else.

We had issues with recruiting, players culture, bad offense and inconsistent defense. So, we hope our offense will improve with the new OC but what about the rest? The HC is the controller of all this and he is still here people.

The guy is coming from the NFL front office to step down for this job.

And??????????
Meaning, AH is coming in with a lot of hands on dealing with putting people in the right place to be successful or he would not have risen to where is or lasted in the front office of a multi dollar business. No owner would risk that if he could not handle the job. Highsmith's passion alone for his alma mater makes this even more exciting. I'm willing to bet we will be better off with him here then not.

You do understand that Alonzo Highsmith was just a scout in the NFL, right?

This is nonsense. Would you say the same if they were bribing in Ken Dorsey? Zo knows football and has been professionally scouting college kids for the last 13 years. You don’t think he understands college football? That’s all he watches. Come again.
