Starting this with 2 games left because nothing that happens in these last 2-3 games won’t change much in my mind one way or another.

Regardless of the final record, IMO, the product on the field has improved compared to last year. With that said, here are my coaching & positional grades (no recruiting grade) without my Mope or Slurper green & orange shades. My Grades are based on performance only. Not whether there was talent or not enough talent in the room.

QB:
TVD: D- (Easily could be an F, but had a decent start to the season and played ok vs UNC. Because he was playing with significant injuries, gave him a D- despite the mental collapse).

Emory: C+ (Warrior/Leader: 1-1 vs two of the most difficult defenses on our schedule while thrown into the fire).

Overall Grade: F

RB:

Grade based on performance with this offensive line:

Overall Grade: B-

WR:

Tough to grade with the QBs struggling.

Overall Grade: B

TE:

Coaching staff failed in bringing in more players via the portal especially with Arroyo coming off ACL injury.

Overall Grade: D (not an F because I felt bad they got worn down only blocking and OC never really called anything for them).

OL:

Overall Grade: A

Overall Offensive Grade: 22.3 PPG in the ACC = D

DEFENSE:

DE/DT:

Overall Grade: B+

LBs:

Overall Grade: A

CBs:

Overall Grade: B

Safeties:

Overall Grade: B-

Overall Defensive Grade: B+

Special Teams: B (Borregales = A).

Coaching:

HC: F (Win the GT game and grade is a C).
OC: D
DC: A
Addae: B+ (I see development and improvement with safeties and Corner Play).
Taylor/Salave’a: B+
Mirabal: A
Beard: B+
Harris: B-
Nicholson: A
Woodiel: I almost want to give an ”I” for incomplete but will give a D.

What are your best objective grades?? Can’t wait for the OC talk all off season!

Glad you weren’t my teacher. Not a single F but cumulative grade is an F. Multiple A/B grades but cumulative grade is a D. Lol

How the **** does one QB get a D- and another QB get a C+ but their overall grade is an F? WTF is going on.

QBs have a higher weight. Had a hard time grading certain positions because of the QBs and OC.

I did take notice of that before I posted but I was like, **** it. None of it makes sense this season anyway so the grades might as well not make much sense either, lol.

I didn’t want to go full mope and give Tyler an F and I didn’t really account for Emory in the overall grade.

It’s an overall F because that position was mostly responsible for the team record.

I will give expectation coming into season vs what I've witnessed.

QB__B- I was concerned about Tyler being injury prone and inconsistent
QB__F we dont have the guy on the roster and nothing encouraging moving forward

RB__B+ I thought room was loaded and we could lean heavily on the group as a whole.
RB__C+ nothing terrible but just a lot of ok

WR__C+ Concerned with speed and differencemakers. Admittedly I was very high on Colbie.
WR__B- they aren't the reason we are struggling but if we need a play none of them are a #1.

TE __B I thought Arroyo would finally live up to the rumor mill
TE__F feel gross thinking about the position as a whole

OL__B I thought group would be improved and the liabilities would be erased.
OL__B pass pro was too good? Is that even possible. Having a TF on the field presented challenges as to be expected.

OC__ I never react positively or negatively when coaches are hired. I gave Gattis 5 or 6 weeks before I threw him in the trash. Oddly that didn't work with Dawson. After 6 weeks I was honestly confused. Now that I have enough evidence I will say C-. I don’t know the power dynamics but the offense is offensive yet again.

Objectively this is a qb sport now and we don’t have one. Nothing else really matters. If we swapped Tyler for Travis I’m pretty **** confident we’re undefeated right now with no other changes between us and fsu

I agree, with a bit of hesitation on my part because I feel Norvell is just one of the better game day coaches in the ACC, if not the best.

Mario doing Mario things in game day and the OC/HC conundrum is my only real hesitation with your statement.

Travis would certainly cover up a lot of the coaching flaws.

Travis being a 6th year senior certainly aids in his game day performance.

Offense: D
-Beginning of the year is keeping it out of the red-zone.
Defense: B+
-Playing great, considering. Three lapses all year (GT final drive, UNC 3rd, NC St. 4th).
ST: B
-KOR, KO, P, FG all good. PR unit is the dog.
HC: D
-Winning out (9-4*) moves it to a C-, about what we all expected pre-season. A normal 9-4 with a bowl win would normally be a B- for me, but...the knee.
-Two losses (7-6), or worse, drops it to an easy F.

Big one for me is the safeties. a B- is generous IMO. C- more like it. Good to great at tackling, definitely have some picks. But both Kam and JW take TERRIBLE angles, Kam bites on EVERY slant, and JW at times is Amari Carter 2.0; WHEN not IF he gets a flag for targeting.
