Yep. Ever since then my rule of thumb is the "insider" with the worst news is usually right. We fall for it every time too:

Coker fired. "Leach is really interested in the job.!" Shannon hired.
Shannon fired. "Gruden accepted. Pop the champagne!" Golden hired. Marc Trestman was the 2nd choice.
"Manny is going to hire an OC who runs a modern, uptempo spread offense!" Enos hired.
Blake fired. "Jurich secured!". [Insert completely underwhelming and unqualified name here] hired.

What’s most annoying about it, is they’re all acting like it’s gonna be some big time surprise...

You don’t need any inside scoop to know it’s pretty fckin obvious it’s gonna be Mario & some combo of Zo/Gino & somebody else as the heads of the athletics department.

Like, not a single fan should be shocked, we’ve been discussing this sh*t since the season started lol.

Not my claim, just observing, but YES, expect Lane Kiffin to be named the seventh President of the University of Miami.

My prediction AD announced today or tomorrow, Manny fired on Wednesday or Thursday but will coach bowl game (3 yrs is reached 12/13, 1/1 will be his offical firing after our ****e Sun Bowl game), Cristobal announced 12/5, press conference on 12/6. Gives MC time to salvage this absolutely awful recruiting class.

Or if we continue being Miami we will hire Rhett Lashlee and pay SMU $4 million.
 
If a AD is actually announced today then Manny better be fired at midnight if his buyout lowers on Dec.1 like it has been reported. Then that new AD should put on the turnover chain after announcing Manny has been let go
