It’s been a heartache being a Miami fan the last 17 years or so but we are all here together and we have rode the train good or bad. With that being said, we know our issues and what got us here and what it will take for us to get out of this.

but what’s you all opinion on Tennessee and how they have gotten so bad for so long. They consistently recruit anywhere from 10-20 classes with maybe a few top 5s in the mix since 1998.

they’ve had a lot of change in leadership at the university and AD level. They have made some interesting decisions in coaching picks to say the least. And it’s not just in football. Tennessee has tremendous investment and facilities, but they don’t have a go to recruiting area. Tennessee HS football is getting better, especially in middle Tennessee, but most of the highly rated kids moved here and have no allegiance to UT. They also have to compete with a really good UGa team and all others in GA, where they used to do well, and they don’t recruit FL or CA as well as they used to. But the biggest thing that killed them in talent acquisition is the emergence of Clemson. Clemson takes their lunch on the trail regularly. Those are kids that UT used to get.

Clemson took Amari Rodgers and Tee Higgins from UT--both were from the Knoxville area. Clemson also took the No. 1 TE in the country this cycle; Jake Brinningstool from TN powerhouse Ravenwood outside of Nashville.

Poor leadership (see, hiring and firing of Schiano and Kiffin for one year), no built in recruiting base, competing with other similar schools for talent but just not having the same success (Bama, Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, OSU), and some bad coaches.

The bold is their big issue. If they don't have a great recruiter in charge, they have no chance.

My father in law is a mid level booster for Tennessee. This investigation has some legs and apparently involves pay for play. Pruitt likely won’t survive it if true. Could just be a bull**** from a bunch of blow hards but interesting none the less

Must’ve found something on Bama
Tennessee forgot rule #1 in the SEC: DO NOT **** BAMA OFF

Early in the recruiting season, Tenn was landing 5-stars left & right & even had a top 3 class going into Sep-October.

They learned the hard way, you not allowed to unseat the Hierarchical order of the SEC, Bama gets theirs first, then UGA, then LSU, then TAMU, UF & Auburn get to eat, you try to cut in line, you get that Ole Miss/Miss St treatment & Emmert sends his NCAA Investigoons to shake you down & your program gets hit with sanctions.
