O-Line Woes

Just eyeballin' it, but it seems like the O-Line's first step is horizontal, instead of vertical when we run zone. I think horizontal steps give you too much of a soft play-side shoulder, which leads to TFLs. Now I don't know how we compare to the rest of CFB, but we've given up 40 TFLs through 6 games this year.

Most zone schemes kind of run that bucket step way .....i know i learned that in the early 2000s when i played ....when the guy next to you is moving in cohesion it works really well....what is counterproductive to that though is having lumbering lineman though. Our current interior looks like they barely can tie their shoes. The samoan kid i didnt realize he was that short n wide that came from Oregon.
