Agree in part but we (I am as guilty as anyone on this Board) make Mirabal out to be a savant of OL coaches. All I am saying is that he has missed on many players especially along the IOL. The misses are either poor evals, lack of development or both. My point is that he should not be immune from criticism when the OL plays this poorly.

As for the most recent class, I agree it is very promising. You failed to mention Woodrow and Pickett. I am high on both players. It’s possibly Mirabal’s best class and could anchor or line for years to come.
 
Two things to take into consideration...

1) Alot of programs I bet are wishing there was a Spring portal now. Everyone was against it..but ill bet they are changing their tune now. If there was a Spring portal...we wouldnt be having this OL issue because Mario would have went out and got some guys. Which leads me to my next point..

2) the GREAT thing about Mario? He doesnt make the same mistake twice. You can pretty much guarantee he will be hitting the portal hard for OL starters come portal time this offseason. No more taking any chances like he did this year and no more trusting guys who he thought would be ready who are now making a fool of him. In a year when you have a QB like Mensah at that. Smh.

Oh yeah 100% agreed, I will say I do trust him to find the right combo of guys before the year ends

He has played excellent this year. Excellent! In my opinion, him and Sampson are the best book end tackles in the country this year. It’s too bad Our interior is hot garbage!

He's been injured on and off this season. He went down and was walked off the field a couple games ago (Louisville). I think he was out for injury in week 2, but I'd have to check. But, I 100% watched him against LSU in the first half. I key'd on him. Like I said, he looked less agile than I remember and more like a Guard. I guess I can pull up screenshot evidence. Ha.

He had a pretty good rep on 3rd and 10 at LT in the first series. Watch him in the 2nd series, also at LT, on 2nd and 10 against Patrick Payton. Those flashes are at least interesting. There are others. Again, he's clearly imperfect, but we're discussing the hypothetical of a domino effect that would have gotten us an upgrade over what we're watching at our LG position.

Just seeing this discussion because thread got bumped but I think the confusion is maybe 2025 game and '26 game, pic and highlight video are from '25 game.. The pic is daytime and game was at night and the thumbnail has Kiffin in Ole Miss gear when he coached for LSU saturday.. Maybe Im confused and hopping in discussion not aware of..

No, you’re totally right. And their LT last year was 61. So I was the one confused.

I did see Tinsler in this year’s game, but I’d have to rewatch for full game to give any observations. I was stupidly watching the wrong 61. Whoever that guy is, looked half way decent.

The funny thing is I thought about the daytime thing and was like ‘well, it’s daylight savings time.’ And the second thing I thought was weird was I didn’t see that LSU guy Prince whatever in the first three series. I figured ‘hm, maybe he was held out for injury or suspended.’

@PalyCane i am a dumbass. I watched the wrong game and #61. Whoever the other guy was, though, not bad at all! Lol.
