I apologies if already discussed. Did y'all notice this dude hustling to the end zone on Young's touchdown?
I noticed he, along with everyone else, was hustling and running around like crazy. I can't remember a game in the past three years where our offensive linemen went into the second level and actively looked for fresh meat on a regular basis.

I'm not surprised he hustled. Its what great offensive linemen do on screens, they get out there and they start choo-chooing.

Defensive gang tackling was extremely impressive as well

We had one bust where Kam and one of the DBs essentially took the same angle and they broke off a big play but in general the disciplined aggression tackling on defense was great

That was that one quick screen towards that #10 kid. He was really quick and it took them some time to adjust to it.

No it was Couch with a bad angle.... Coach Hayes did a break down of the play. TC is not very good!! Needs to be on the bench.
Everyone had a bad angle, the guy made one cut and three people went straight by him.

Not true Brown kept containment by engaging the WR and pushing the play back inside while Kam kept the proper angle on the play then TC took the bad angle overplayed and didn't not trust his teammate (Kam) to make the play he actually ran right into Kam causing them to both miss the tackle. Go back and watch the play.

And he still made two guys miss after that so my point still stands lol

Kam didn't take the greatest of angles either, he was aware of Couchs positioning and still went to that spot. Like, its Week 1, it happens and it didn't happen again afterwards.

Couch is a bad player. @Stevo365 talks him up because he from Broward but that man makes no plays on the ball. He is always running behind the WRs 2 steps. The rotation is gonna be tight v 8&4 just glad they recruited over some of these guys
I just understand what “run fits” are which is his first responsibility. 4-6 passed for 56 yards on Couch but 30 yards on 1 play when he has inside help and shouldn't have had to run him down. A defense is going to give up something everyplay but doesn’t mean that player is at fault for the technique he is playing team defense in. Im bias towards my 954 canes its true but maybe listen to this clip from our DC and let me know

Coincidently i just listened to that clip before login in here. I didnt say what i said based in just that one play. Its because i seen that play almost everytime since he been here. He rarely makes any plays on the ball. I want DBs who challenge the ball or make the coverage so blanket where the QB throws a bad ball. I dont see either from him. He is not a FR.

Yep. I mean there’s always going to be some hitches in a game…it’s not NCAA 2014

Big thing is seeing the coaches and players making the adjustments

It’s really a broad general statement but seeing how comfortable they were in the scheme for game 1, the tackling with discipline etc it just felt like the unit was well coached during the off-season

They seemed well prepared too. OH doesn't threaten teams deep and we played that way.

I get it when people are like “we did what we were supposed to do”

It’s true. But it’s been a while since we’ve actually done that 🤣

Oh okay fam but yeah i agree he has 7 dropped INT he has to come down with those to change the direction of this conversation when it comes to making plays on the football .
