For all the gurus out there now that we have the defensive scheme that we wanted. what do our depth chart needs to look like?

Just for kicks just imagine grace, young, owens, aqm, thomas attacking down hill with bad intentions.

Now imagine those lineman with actual techniques?
 
Chad Thomas will be the SDE, you will see him firing through the B Gap a lot trying to cause disruption in the back field.

Our DT should be Norton/Jenkins lining up in the 1 gap and Willis/Moten in the 3.

McIntosh can be a SDE/3T.

If AQM stays he will be the WDE (Rush DE that sometimes will be in a 2pt stance)

DJax can probably be a Strong or Weak DE.

SLB Owens/McCloud/Gordinier
MLB Young/Qurterman/McCray
WLB Grace/Gayot/Perry/Pinckney

I think we can run a good NASCAR Line for obvious passing downs with DJax/CT/Willis/AQM.

Not sure where Trent Harris/Mike Smith will fit in this D.
 
Did Charles Perry burn his shirt this year? Did we hear anything about him regarding the scout team and his performance?

Grace will be the best athlete on the D.. but in this system at Will he will be asked to spend alot of time in the box..at 205 its hard for him to get off blocks and make plays...now when he is apexed ..he will be right at home..

I'm a big fan of our front 7. I hope Richt can get on and close some talented DB's in the next month because we need help there.

Agree with this although I think Trent Harris has played better than 3rd string.

Also I hope we see a lot from jaquan Johnson this off-season. We all had a lot of high expectations for him ever since he was a sophomore in high school. Hopefully he gets in a lot this year and end up being the great safety we all hoped for
 
I actually think Trent Harris is suited for the Michael Sam type role. They seem to be very similar in size and stature. Nothing really stands out in terms of size and speed but I just think he could surprise a few people this year with this defense.
