I'm a fan most of the other uniforms, but you wear the classics against FSU.

I can't believe this is still an argument. Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, and countless other programs do just fine on the recruiting trail with "traditional" uniforms. We have one of the premier brands in college football. Stop ******* it up with these cartoonish costumes that drag us down to the level of the Oregon wannabes.

that being said, i'd love to have to old school uniforms back and never wear pants + jerseys in the same color together (or the orange top + green bottom/green top + orange bottom atrocities) ever again.

My biggest issue is messing with the helmet. The white helmet with the classic orange and green "U" is a huge part of our visual identity.

yea those uniforms in 2000-03 were modern, and awesome, probably my favorites, but they used orange and green, and only used the white helmet. mainly went orange over white or green over white at home, and white over orange or white over green on the road with the occasional stormtrooper. We went stormtrooper almost every game last year. Now we have smoke uniforms plus an orange and a green helmet. I dont mind alternate uniforms every now and then, even when i think theyre ugly like the smokes or the orange pro combats from a couple years ago, but we RARELY do our standard uniforms anymore...our classic looks are now the rare exception to the rule. But whatever, kids like it i guess and I guess im just older now (27) and apparently it helps with recruiting to have cool new uniforms. I just wish they wouldnt touch our rivalry games.....fsu miami should keep that classic look, since its supposed to be a classic, titanic matchup. wear the smokes against VT or anyone else

the 2000-2003 jerseys were the most beautiful uniforms football has ever seen imo

a lot of what attracted me to the canes is the gorgeous combination of orange and green mixed with white

I agree, going to be traditional orange and white. Save the gimic for someone else. BTW, the last game as big as this one was in 2010. Most people left that game early, knowing the Shannon era was over. Team came out flat and uninspired, and got their doors blown off. The results have not been good, but the football character on this team is miles ahead of that team. This team will come to play and lay it all on the field.

This is the only game on our schedule that tradition should mean something.

I would even be fine wearing all smoke with our traditional helmets, but would love to see us in traditional helmet, orange tops and white bottoms with black cleats and socks(our traditional look).

I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly we have won every game that we have worn our traditional helmets in except for Nebraska(UL and GT we wore those ugly a$$ green ones).

I want to recognize my team out there, not to look like some Oregon Ducks wannabes.
