Notre Dame Ian Book talks about playing at Miami in 2017

I’ve been to 4-5 of the SECs best stadiums and that night in 2017 it was louder than all of them other than LSU Death Valley at night. From the second that ball was kicked off that place was at a fever pitch lol
Yep, I've been to them all (TN, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, USCjr, A&M, LSU, + Clemson, FSU, UF, OSU, Michigan, Nebraska) and the only comparable was Tennessee and Alabama in 2022. The end of that one cleared Bandy's pick 6 noise but the noise inside Hard Rock is different because of the partial roof and because its only once every 2-3 years we have a game that competes with the atmosphere at those places.

Other places get the earthquake feeling with more people but the noise is literally deafening and painful when HRS is at its peak like 2017 ND. I couldn't hear the rest of the weekend and still had ringing at work on Monday.

When I went to LSU it wasn't a night game so I will hold off on judgment there. Those fans are the only comparable level of crazy to our fans where they get as rowdy and obnoxious... enough to throw a beer through the team bus lol

When we played at A&M it was very loud but the noise got out so quickly it was like you could hold a conversation in the thick of the noise. Those fans were as chill as any I've ever seen in CFB.

Honestly, the next loudest game I've ever went to after Alabama at Tennessee and ND at Miami was at Williams-Brice at USC jr when they played Clemson. Highly highly recommend Canes fans go there next year.

So it was "technically" a sell out a month + ago, but the secondary market shows a decent amount of tickets available. Crazyyy prices though (albeit they are steadily decreasing as game day gets closer)

total of 1,057 listings (a bit misleading because for example one listing ais an entire row in the west end zone), cheapest price 220 for a single seat in the nosebleeds, all they way up to 6,500 for a field club or 2,000 for lower bowl.
Yeah I paid $600 for a couple a couple of weeks ago. It was slim pickings for reasonable seats + reasonable prices.

These moron ND fans who think the atmosphere is gonna be weak are walking into a buzz saw.

It will be 2017 at minimum.

At minimum? That’s a bold statement.

I’ll be fired up though in section 106. Met a dude at the gym that has front row 50 yard line tickets.

I expect ND will want to get the extra insurance for their charter bus this year.

No one asked but my firm belief is that the circumstances surrounding that 2017 game were a perfect storm:

undefeated
we hadn't been any good since about 2005
we kicked VT's *** the week prior
TO chain hype was in full effect
no wins over ND since 1989
Gameday on campus

10 days from now the place will be rocking but that was a once every 30 years type setup back in 2017.
