Notre Dame Hypocrisy

So they dropped each other. USC will play ND if it’s early. ND will play USC if it’s late. Neither agreed so they each walked.
I thought a USC writer also reported that USC was turned off by the ND CFP condition too? Sounds to me like the parties started the negotiation very far apart. Not sure there was an agreement to be made.

USC has a big problem with ND’s top 12 auto bid into the CFP. Thats ultimately what made them hold strong and walk away when ND didn’t agree to play them before USC’s conference schedule. USC basically said, “you need me more than I need you. So why would I allow you to dictate when we play, especially when you want it during or after our conference slate.”

You got it. And yes, the MOU explanations were for the greater audience.

And there is also a CFP Board of Managers too.

Here's how it all works.

The CFP is organized under the a company called the CFP Administration, LLC, which manages the operations of the CFP. All 10 conferences and ND are members of the LLC.

There is a CFP Board of Managers, which governs the CFP's business, property, and affairs, and also appoints and removes CFP officers. The CFP BM is made up of 11 university presidents and chancellors, 10 reps from each conference and ND's president. They also establish the criteria for, select, and approve the members of the CFP Selection Committee.

Next is the CFP Management Committee, and their job is to manage the day-to-day operations of the CFP. The CFP MC is made up of the 10 conference commissioners and ND's AD.

Lastly, there are two company officers, an Executive President (company president) and COO (secretary), that serve at the direction of the CFP BM, also help with the day-to-day operations. They are not affiliated with any conference or university.

There is also a CFP Foundation, which is the nonprofit arm of the LLC, and serves for community engagement.

How about the CFP Crypto LLC which enables boosters to bribe all these corrupt officials? That has to be in the org structure somewhere.

ND learned a lot from this year. They learned if they play you during your conference schedule, you won’t care if you win or lose. See Navy sitting their starting QB. Narduzzi not caring, and now USC not bowing down to their schedule demands.

But when the big games happen before conference play starts, they get the other teams best effort. And they went 0-2 bc of it.

You joke, but did you notice the NCAA is nowhere to be found in here?

I have always found it...interesting that the NCAA just peaced out of the postseason for the sport with the highest revenues.
