Can someone attempt to explain to me what has occurred since the ND game? I’ll give it a shot...We reached #2 in the country, we were enjoying our best season in a decade, our in-state rivals were pathetic, we had a top 3 recruiting class already locked up....and then......we lose 3 straight in embarrassing fashion, our best underclassmen all declare for the draft, we don’t enjoy any further recruiting bump, a promising young corner suffers a career ending injury, we lose our best position coach to MF’in Baga. It was essentially impossible to imagine a worse set of events transpiring when it appeared we were on a path back to glory. Wtf. (I’m aware we beat UVA the following week).

We did better than anticipated, suffered key injuries, and our butts were dragging at the end.

Go take a dump - it'll clear your mind.

had a bad string of injuries to key players with no depth, qb play worsened (it was already bad), and we went the entire reg season without a bye.

A combination of a lot of things. Rosier getting exposed, injuries, and no bye week are the three that stick out to me. Rosier's poor play nearly cost us several times earlier in the year, and it finally did in a big way at the end. When the most important position on the field can't get the job done, the whole team suffers.

Some of these things are correlated with each other. For instance, I firmly believe we fare better on NSD if we don't finish on a 3-game losing streak. I also think that if we were more competitive in the final 3 games that we don't necessarily lose as many guys early to the Draft. Do McIntosh/Norton stay if we win the ACC? We'll never know. And maybe Kool stays if McIntosh and Norton stay, who knows. It's like dominoes.

Well ND was way overrated and we were able to play lights out against the hated domers. 2017 exposed our anemic offense which became evident in the end. That brings us to 2018... if we make the necessary changes, and convert 3rd downs better than last year against elite teams, it should be very interesting. Oh and recruit development is key.
