It's not about not wanting the sport to change.

It's about the reality that 16 teams means more SEC and Big 10 bids which does nothing to help a fringe Miami.

If you believe that won't happen based on last year and this year, then you are simply naive, dumb, or both.

Of course it would benefit the SEC and B1G.

But the reality is unless we’re in one of those conferences we’re probably ****ed regardless without winning the conference, and adding 4 more at large bids can’t make it any worse but would increase our chances, even if it’s not at the level that it increases the chances for the bubble teams in the P2.

And putting all of that aside, a 12 team bracket is just idiotic.

Anyone who thinks we should go to 16 (including our own fans) are certified mouth-breathers

We should:

- Make it so only teams who have played 10+ P4 opponents are eligible for the playoffs (promotes more Cross conference games which gets more accurate SOS marks as well).

- Drop the conference championship game week In P4. Regular season P4 champs get auto bids. G5 auto bid needs to be dropped. G5 and teams <10 P4 opponents should get their own 8 team playoff. The CFP needs to move up earlier. Drop Conference champ week then start the CFP the following week. No reason CFP shouldn't end before Portal opens in January.

- We got to do something to bowls to make them not completely worthless. I'd put them at week 0 the following year. You can keep the really big ones and use them as the "play in games"

- 16 team Playoff only works if no Bye. So a 12 team playoff with a bye vs a 16 with no bye, I don't particularly care much. 16 makes sense if we drop the worthless Conference champ games and Bowl games...
