I'm done playing detective here, all that matters is this appears to not be season ending, but I think it's pretty obvious he's been playing at least somewhat hurt for several weeks (he has come out of multiple games for the same ankle), and then at practice it was aggravated. How badly, we don't know, but again it's not season ending, so all in all, it could be much worse.

I trust/hope the organization understands this game, as hyped as it is, really doesn't mean anything, and he only gives it a go if he's very near 100%. Otherwise, sit him and re-evaluate next week. The ACC is infinitely more important than this game if there's a chance he can make it even worse and turn it into a season ending thing. That would be catastrophic. But for now, it's ******, but not the end of the world. I feel better.

Honestly when this stuff started coming out I feared we lost Mali or Mensah entirely, so for him to be possibly playing is good news to me. Weather he plays or not ND has all the pressure and I feel could play tight especially if we start well. I can see a game where we get a 10-14 point lead and they press which leads to mistakes and we do what we did to Ohio State and bury them in the 4th with the run.

Mario always talks about physical practices and defense was RIPPED in media to be more physical.. Maybe that was pushed HEAVY in practice.. Mario always says we practice harder than everyone.. We tuff
Ya the defense that plays not the scout team lol wrong guy took it to heart. Probably crying about playing time and took a spiteful parting shot.

Not trying to speculate but I’ve seen in happen

If it's a rolled ankle and that's it, then I'd expect to see him on the field Saturday after an initial scare. ****...he can be a good decoy even at 50%.

If it's a high ankle sprain or something higher grade, then you sit him. I want to beat ND as bad as anyone, but in the grand scheme - winning the ACC, getting a high seed in the playoff with hopefully a bye (even if we lose to ND and then win 4 straight soundly, I think we're there)...that's the dream. Just wouldn't want a blowout loss to ND...*that* would look bad.

Maybe it's the copium and hopium talking...but I don't think we necessarily need Mali to beat ND head to head Saturday night. That game is going to come down to our defense against their offense, and if we can cure some of the ills we had against UNC and get some stops...at least enough to give Mensah a fighting chance to put enough points up to win, with or without Mali.

He's probably frustrated that Miami responded to the national media and not him.

To be honest, Barry provided more information than either of the national reports. He sounded way more optimistic than Thamel/Zenitz.

Oh good lord, please don't cape for Barry Jacksoff.

The national media had it first. Jacksoff got all defensive and spun up his bull**** about how he had the tip first, but Miami never got back to him (gosh, I wonder why?).

ONLY LATER did he start doing his homework by talking to a "friend of a coach".

Cut the crap about Jacksoff "providing more information than the national reports". THAT'S HIS JOB. And I could give a **** if he "sounded way more optimistic".

The bottom line is that Barry Jacksoff is a bitter, self-centered punk who is going to **** on Miami every chance he gets because he is not the first person to get a callback on every story.

He’s been dealing with this ankle all year. He’s been limping at points of **** near every game

Came out of several as well. I guess people don't remember him pulling up on the sideline against FSU and Spafford came in for him on the next play, and he missed a few plays. Same against Pitt, but only missed 1-2 plays I think. I don't remember him actually coming out favoring it against UNC, but I might have missed it. Honestly this has been on my mind for weeks, I was hoping if he didn't pull up at any time against UNC then it might be behind him, but obviously he rolled it again today and aggravated it.

People do weird **** in practice for the wildest reasons

Not season ending serious- but potentially 2-6 weeks serious. I think they will sit him down, and try to win without him. If they lose, they’ll hope he heals good enough to contribute in the ACCCG, which is essentially a CFP “play-in” game. But i would be concerned with our ability to beat Duke and VaTech without this element in our offense.

You don't know ****.
