Notre Dame a 3.5 point favorite (All Miami-ND, Mali News)

This is the type of game I believe we should NOT go for it much on 4th down.
Pin them back with good punts. Make them try to drive down the field on long drives.

We have given too many teams momentum by going for it and failing unnecessarily.
We just need to get those punts off. Our protection is terrible. We clearly haven’t learned our lesson there and Notre lame loves to block punts

people are worried about the interior of our OL but i actually think it's traore vs the tackles that may be the bigger factor. they've shown some weakness vs good edge rushers and he's one of the best.
Porque no los dos?

I'm worried about both.

Their interior DL is solid. That #88 dude has made more plays than I'd want to see. Against our iOL, I dunno. They also have a 4th DT who's like 325+ and likely to be placed directly over RR's face. This is on top of Brewu and Onye (who may be Toure's age).

Ya’ll kill me with this no talking about future opponents **** like we aren’t just fans on a fvckn message board and our discussion has any merit on the actual team/players focus 😭😭😭😭😭.
Me in my living room on Saturday night..1-0 baby

I have this insane wish that instead of just a Mali wildcat package or something like that, we put his *** a quarterback for like an entire quarter or half. Let him throw and scramble and run wildcat and everything else, watch Notre Dame‘s (and everyone else’s) heads explode.

I know it would never happen but ****, I swear it would work lol. That kid can do anything. Not that I want Mensah on the bench or anything, I know how ridiculous that sounds, but as a complete mind****, I think it would be unreal.
Crazy part is he’s good enough to pull it off n confuse the **** outta them 2008 Miami dolphins against the pats style 😭😭

Agreed, traore played a good game last year vs us too. Alot of scouts have him as a top edge in this draft class

This basically means toss us giving 3.5 to the home team. I would be surprised if it were any more or less. More than halfway through the season I feel like there’s still a lot we don’t know about a lot of teams. How good is Notre Dame? Well they lost a close game to undefeated BYU…who proceeded to lose to unranked UCF a week later. While some thought this was a shocker of some kind, BYU was only favored to beat unranked UCF by 3.5 points…being the #2 ranked team in the country. That says a lot. Like the entire 2026 has been an “Any given Saturday” type year with no clear, consistently dominant teams. Closest thing to that is…us. Which is a big reason why we’re deserving of the #1 ranking.

FSU almost caught us sleep walking but we won despite playing like ****. Clemson almost lost to Syracuse in 2018. They were a play away from dropping one to UNC the following year. 2015-2020 was peak Clemson and I’d argue the teams with Trevor Lawrence, specifically the team in 2018 was Dabo’s best. Never have I ever seen a team absolutely embarrass a Saban era Alabama team on the biggest stage. Those days are long gone for Clemson though. Sorry Tiger folks.

Gotta only focus on next game.
Do what you are supposed to do
Administer the beatdown
THEN…move on
Beat UNC and this ND game means less to us in terms of making the CFP as we’d be Charlotte bound barring an epic collapse of some kind. Would sorta remind me of how we clinched The Coastal in 2017 a week before playing ND and yeah, we all know what happened there. An epic 41-8 thrashing.

This is ND’s Super Bowl. It means a lot to us too but if we hypothetically dropped a close game to ND, we have numerous paths to the CFP depending on how the dominoes fall. Like 2017, ND has to beat us or I don’t see them making the field of 12. I think if we beat them at their house, voters are going to purposely drop them far into the rankings and with 2 losses and no quality wins (sound familiar?), they once again miss the CFP.

Run of the mill ND team. O is average at best. D is overrated. Nothing special.
I'm not saying ND is average or overrated. The NFL mock drafts have Tae Johnson (S), and Leonard Moore (CB) 1st rd picks. Carr is a 1st rd pick.
Asa (LB) is a 2nd rd pick. Traore (DE) is a 2nd rd pick.

Talent wise, think this the most talented team Miami will face. Hoping for the Canes to come out on top but it won't be easy.

being favored at home by 3-3.5 is nothing more than a coin flip. You give the home team 3, but a soon as we start scoring and shut the crowd down that 3 goes away.

Let's get past this trap game with UNC, but I think we make a loud statement in the domers house.

If Carr is a 1st round pick football is in major trouble.

We won't be able to call the game "our way," it's plainly obvious on film... which is the part that worries me.
