Notre Dame a 3.5 point favorite (All Miami-ND, Mali News)

Back in 2017 I tried to get some T-shirts made for UM-Notre Dame.

On the front, "Catholics versus Convicts?" One word on each line, black lettering over a white shirt. But then on the back it was going to be a black/white silhouette of a Catholic priest with his hand on a small boy's shoulder, and underneath that image, "Catholics = Convicts."

Two different t-shirt companies refused to make me the shirts.
sadly they don’t get convicted. they just hit the transfer portal.

I’d imagine Moore follows Mali like Hampton did? Mali still had an impact on clutch downs but they definitely did a good job preventing the game breaking plays from Mali, not from Barkate.

I get it. Don't expect any Zebra love. And Vegas has seen our Secondary.

ND has one of the best if not the best CB tandem in football. I don't expect many double teams for Mali in this game. They will try to press him and leave their guys on an island. That is just my laymen guess.
@Memnon ? They are good but are they the best tandem in CFB? They haven’t faced a decent receiver except for the freshman from BYU. And Bachemier handled them. Mensah should give them fits.

Notre Dame is playing very similar to Indiana last year. Just very sound and they don't make a ton of mistakes. For instance, on offense, they're 97th in the country in plays over 10 yards. They're also 1st in opponent plays over 10 yards on defense. Indiana was better offensively but the approach is the same.

If Miami plays a smart game they'll win. I genuinely think when both teams are operating at their maximum level Miami is the better team. I just think Miami's floor is much lower on defense.

But I also think it's what can get Notre Dame in trouble. It's hard for them to run away from a team on their own, unless the other team has lapses.

Against Wisconsin, 13-10 at halftime. Pick 6 by Wisconsin in the 3rd, game over.

Michigan State (2-6), 17-10 at halftime. Notre Dame eventually pulls away but no serious turnovers or big plays and it ends 27-10.

North Carolina, 2 INTs by UNC in the 1st half. Still allow UNC to come back and basically tie it in the 3rd.

None of those games are Notre Dame imploding. They actually played pretty clean. It's just the style they play.

They're very good.

But the best tandem IMO, is Tennessee.

Notre Dame's CB group is banged up going into this week's game with Navy. DJ McKinney is out & Mark Zackery is questionable coming off a concussion last week.

Indiana would have found a way to beat a team like BYU though.

Indiana also had a very good running game.
This version of ND is not even close.

I have this insane wish that instead of just a Mali wildcat package or something like that, we put his *** a quarterback for like an entire quarter or half. Let him throw and scramble and run wildcat and everything else, watch Notre Dame‘s (and everyone else’s) heads explode.

I know it would never happen but ****, I swear it would work lol. That kid can do anything. Not that I want Mensah on the bench or anything, I know how ridiculous that sounds, but as a complete mind****, I think it would be unreal.

A couple series maybe.
Which could be half a quarter with the way we can run the ball.

I'm guessing they'll get this weekend to rest up and will be close to a full go by Nov 7. Still, big game for 7 and 18 to provide someone else in the passing game.
