noticeable pattern with the portal

teams that didn't recruit high school that well are super aggressive in the portal ... especially playoff teams

indiana is #33 with hs kids
texas tech is 18 with hs kids (respectable)

none of the teams that have consistently recruited hs well made any big time moves in the portal yet ... it speaks to the luxury of being patient due to solid recruiting

also, indiana coaching is elite ... but texas tech, not so sure, jury is still out
Indiana sacrifices depth with their approach. They're like FSU with Norvell with the transfer reliance, but Cignetti has the talent ID super power not seen since Butch or Cignetti's run with Saban at Bama.

That still leaves them running up the score on Bama because they literally only have 1.5 RBs and a FB that they can give carries too. There are just precious few teams that have the depth to take advantage.

Ohio State was found wanting. America wants IU and Miami to win to find out where that line is.
