Nothing to do with anything but

How is it that Cashman can't find a couple of starting pitchers who you can ride in the plaayoffs. This stack the bullpen bs only works in the regular season against scrub teams. **** Yankees!

I can't say ****, my braves with a meltdown smh

I'm with you.

I had that lovely feeling again after blowing game 4.

Now, that feeling, when I left the office at 1-0 Cards, bases loaded, 1 out in game 5, did not include 10-0 in the 1st when walking into the bar to watch the game. :crownpour:

Cole is borderline unbeatable, and then there's Verlander. It would be a massive, massive upset if the Yankees clawed their way out of this one.

I think Verlander is going to fall off a cliff soon. Without his curve, he would may be **** now. Dude was amazing in his prime. Was amazing to me how he could still be pumping 98-100 7 innings in

I think the weak *** bats are more of let down. Bases loaded 1 out and no runs. the average with people on base if awful. They score 7,000 runs and get in the championship series and everyone has disappeared

You can always throw 300 million at Cole in the offseason.

oh, go Astros....

Speaking as a Houston fan, Cole has won something like 18 straight starts. I'm worried he's due for a bad outing.

Bullpens wear out used heavily in a playoff series. Dave Roberts for the Dodgers wears his out every playoffs

Yankees need to change their philosophy..need more players like lamehiue (how ever u spell it). These guys depend to much on the long ball. Need to be able to manufacture runs in playoff series. Bases loaded twice and only produced 1 run ..the pitching has been fine

Houston is a fantastic franchise. Built up from the ground up. Change ownership in 2011. Built the farm system. Great scouting. Made sure to pick up high character/quality FAs to supplement the pups. Don't have the biggest payroll in baseball, but it's well managed. Annnnnnd b/c they put a credence on winning, the value of the franchise has increased exponentially. Crane bought the franchise for $465m back in 2011, and now the franchise is worth $1.8b.

TAKE NOTE, HECHT!

Too bad. I was hoping for Yankees vs Nats WS. We lived in Houston for 20 years. The Astros sucked most of that time. Amazing what good ownership can do for a franchise. The Nats’ previous incarnations were horrendous, too. Good ownership made a difference there once again.
Poor administration is killing the Canes, too. Wish these people cared enough to give us a chance to be competitive again, but they never will. The Hecht doesn’t care.

Been a Yankee Fan since forever...Keep paying Guys like Stanton undeserving $$$...and fail miserably putting together a pitching staff....
