It's been rumored that the BOT will spend up to 4 mil. But that's meaningless without a 4 million dollar candidate.

Let's take a look:

Chud, Cristobal, Schiano: Meh. All in a lame duck category of recently coming off of unmitigated failure as Head Coaches.

Herman: looks great on paper. But a young up and comer, don't know anything about his track record of hiring staff or recruiting S Fla, because there's not a big enough body of work.

Fuente: Similar to Herman. Bigger body of work, terrible D and an NFL qb. He might be a qb guru, he might not.

Richt: Just not excited. Win something.

Butch: the only one that makes me tingle a little. But he seems to be such a long shot, and there are some valid criticisms About his body of work at UNC.

It's day 4, and the excitement of firing Golden is already giving way to reality. Anyone else?

Miami will never be in the position to pull a power 5 established guy at a big program....for example like Dantonio or Patterson....we have to be creative
 
Anyone who isn't excited that Al Golden is gone needs to have their head examined or simply will never be happy in life? Aside from Mario or perhaps Schiano, anyone would be a considerable upgrade
 
Just saying, that anyone would be a step up from where we have been...well other than Mario.
 
I'm cool until they **** it up. I'm not getting worked up by fake sauces.

If they care about winning it will show when the new HC is announced.
