This was a close game going into the 4th. I would rather win than lose any day and will never root for a loss, but I'm not satisfied at all with this game. CMR will massively damage all credibility and patience with this fan base if he keeps trotting Rosier out there with no snaps for Perry in meaningful moments. Another poster alluded to it but this was such a waste of an opportunity for him to play only 6+ garbage minutes. No passes just handoffs? Wtf is that? I will not let that stats fool me Rosier had another borderline 50% completion game. We had massive moments of our offense completely being ineffective.
In 3 months, we will probably look back and say this was his best performance all season. Even his completions are ducks or just way off where they need to be for our WR's to get any YAC. The Thomas TD is the one good pass he'll throw every week. He also stat padded his completion % on these terrible screens to Harley that went no where because the ball is consistently behind and too slow. Perry made the same throw last week to the same player and it went for about 8 yards. The cager TD was all because Cager is 6'5 but was a PATHETICALLY under thrown fade route. That Toledo defense was a joke and will be a top 2 of the worst defenses we will face all year. In the end, he ran the ball well on the ground but I will not be impressed and just satisfied because he put up 5 TD's against Toledo and we won.
I'm at the point and I know many are as well, where I literally wince every time he throws because it will more than 50% of the time be a duck. This offense has its best collective group of play makers in a while yet I feel like we left 2-3 TD's on that field and have done so consistently going back to last year. I'm becoming worried Richt is just not "getting it" and he literally has no plans for any other QB to even compete. I can see us losing 2 more games if the transition to Perry doesn't occur soon (BC, Va tech). Is it really going to take a humiliating defeat to make the change or does this guys have any foresight on what will eventually happen?
