Yeah I definitely saw the claws part, I don’t think if they have to give you a rabies shot for that. I don’t think so because it’s only transmitted through saliva, but… I don’t know what an ED doctor would recommend I would just go with whatever they recommend

True, but you can get cat scratch disease/fever from the claws.

Either way, I hate cats.

I remember I used to work with a dude that had a hole in his eyeball...said He was taking a nap, and as soon as He opened His eyes his cat jabbed it's claw in his eyeball.

If that cat bit him - I couldn’t tell that - he’s definitely going to need a tetanus shot and a series of rabies shots too if the cat got away. I know someone that tried to pick up a cute little kitty in a parking lot, got bit, and had to get a series of rabies shots
A confirmed cat to human rabies case has not been observed in the last 40 yrs.
CDC, 2017..

That‘s all well and good, but I know someone this year that got bit by a stray cat and had to get the rabies shots. The odds are probably pretty long that you would get rabies if you didn’t do anything, but who wants to take that kind of chance. Once you have full-blown rabies it’s over. You’re dead.

They claim it was rainwater, but they put the fans in suites.

I could hear people saying “it stinks”

I’ve gotten drenched by rain many times, and it’s never smelled like **** and shlt.

I think the fact that they upgraded them to suites, when they could’ve probably put them in just better seats, may speak to this. So I get what you’re saying.

Fair enough, never try to outguess your doctor.
Last june i was bit by a feral cat that i had been watching over as a kitty.
The Doctor asked the circumstances.
I feed him, and tried to put a collar on him, when he bit me.
The Doctor said lack of appetite is the first sympton of Rabies, erratic behavior, paralysis, death in 5 days.
I lucked out, tetanus & antibiotics though.
Oh, and he still won't wear the collar..

I’m not really a cat person but my wife is. The person I knew that got bit, it was a cat that ran off. Literally a feral/stray cat that was in a convenience store parking lot. This person tried to help it, and got bit.

Our advice was for them to go to straight to the emergency room, and do whatever they say, but I was thinking there was no way that this person wasn’t going to get a rabies shot. That’s exactly what happened. It’s not one shot it’s several shots over a couple or three weeks.

When they don’t know for certain or can't reasonably infer, as what happened in your case, I don’t think there’s any choice you have to get the rabies shot. Obviously in your case, there was a lot more information from which to make a decision. but otherwise, even though it might even be 100,000 to 1 shot, better to be safe than sorry, people do die from rabies.
