How do you feel today about last year’s class? After all, we have THE freshman of the year, and likely 1 more freshman all-American. I would say those 2 alone make last year’s class better than a B-.

My point is simply that maybe rating classes before the kids have played a down of college football is not a recipe for success. Not just for you, but for anyone. It makes for nice message board conversation, but that is about all it is worth.
Same with NFL Draft classes.

CIS porsters think if every freshman is not playing/contributing to a 10-2 team there freshman year then its a **** class.

One of my favorite posts this year was when someone ran through the class a few weeks ago and was confidently saying guys like Scroggins, Buchanan, Ewald, etc. are "trending hit" or "trending bust"...truly midblowing level of Take Having going on there.

Still a B-. I base the class on what we are missing and did we adressed the need for future development and depth at each position. Last year didn’t adress S or LB depth. No highly ranked OL or DT with tools. Still thought the class was talented. But out of 2 positions u signed only 2 prospects that will contribute and be here for at least 3 years. 2 positions were depth was really bad. Now, the portal helps u feel in any gaps temporarily or permanent, mainly temporarily.

This class they r missing archetypes of players, speed at DB and length at DE thats gonna be here for at least 3 years.

Regardless ik the portal helps so im not worried.

we signed 3 lbs and a 4 star safety.

Im expecting a portal DE so not concerned. A- class
Top/elite was my key point. I know we have 1 at safety, we needed another elite. I don’t think the other guys are elite, also r u considering Portis a S? We have good prospects at LB wanted 1 elite. Also still waiting on that Rb prospect with all the tools, haven’t had those in a while.

Was never concerned ik the portal is gonna fill in the gaps.

not attacking you, but c'mon guys..... in the GRAND scheme of CFB recruiting, if you land a top10 class, it's got to be A- at the very least.... There are what 120 div1 teams..... 50 teams that play competitive..... top25 that the entire country wishes they were apart of.... and we nail a top10 class with the most blue chips we've had in 23years... and you can't give it a A- ????????
How do you guys that tote the blue chip number account for the increase in "blue chip" recruits? We are getting close to having 500 "blue chips" from the ranking services.

LOL

Miami has 21 blue chip players while FSU and Florida have 14 and 12

only 8 teams out of 124 have a better class than Miami.

but Miami only has a "B-" class.

so many dummies so little time.

Speed at DB is definitely a must......I think Miami recruited physical DBs guys with good speed and footwork...everybody says Waters is good LSU pushed for him down the stretch.....Jennings is a impact player according MC...Redding is a guy that may develop into a good S down the line...stat-wise had a bigtime senior season...

Dunigan 10.94
Portis 10.97
Wyman 4.51

Last year consensus here was the class was meh and there aren't many I would trade it for.

When I mean speed, I’m talking above avg speed at the CFB level. Don’t think Wyman 40 is official. I don’t think the DB class sucks, I like it. When I project how their speed translate to the next level it’s avg. Also Jennings is slow, still a good physical prospect though.

CIS gentlemen's agreement on top10 class.... #7-10 (A-) / #6-4 (A) / #3-1 (A+)
*Extra credit for recognizing H2H is the ABSOLUTE decider.........
