In what world is the history of Ole Miss irrelevant when discussing LK doing more with less? Historically they are a bottom tier SEC program that hasn't achieved much and Lane has a chance to finish with 10 wins in 2 of the last 3 seasons, a feat that hasn't been achieved in 60 years of Ole Miss football. If you cannot see how that supports the premise of my original argument then that's you being wilfully obtuse. You haven't even presented any type of counter argument. Anyway, you apparently can’t read my counter argument. It’s quite clear that their history from 60 years ago is irrelevant, particularly with Hugh Freeze making the program relevant recently, the surge of the SEC in financing/recruiting, and the advent of the transfer portal. The point is what is he doing with the talent he has, that’s what is meant by “he does more with less”. Your point about their history is irrelevant and does not support that in any form whatsoever. He has such a large body of work, there’s no need to reach in this argument.

Light years? Nope. Kiffin is an offensive genius and that is all. His teams get thrashed in big games because of the lack of defense. Mario's Canes are much improved compared to last year and the ceiling is high. I am not judging his success until after year three.

I realized this about Mario after being reminded of Norvells first two seasons.

IIRC he had a losing record and no Bowl game in the first two seasons.

I remember he even lost to JVille State on the last play of the game.
 
@Ghandi, i got a question on Dawson being done, im sure u prolly answered it, so sorry if u have. Is Dawson being let go according to the source or is he fed up and quitting?

We are not "Much" improved....Defensively, Yes....other than that, Offense, STs, Playcalling and Decision making are straight up garbage.

Guidry isn't a lifelong LSU fan like most Louisiana born people. He's mentioned it on interviews & press conferences so the automatic assumption he's dying to go to LSU is just that, an assumption. But he's definitely earned a raise and we'll have to pay up to keep him no doubt.

Dawson is looking to leave and I don’t think Miami is too interested in him staying.

he may not be lifelong LSU but SEC power and going home for that is a draw.

Ill tell u something. Cristobal fixed the Defense with Guidry, but 3 OC's in 3 years and they are not leaving due to overperforming. Thats a big strike. The kids cant be made to learn new terminology every offseason and supposed to execute at a elite level. Thats quickly evaporating good will. It will not be accepted as an excuse by me. I see what Louisville has done, what Duke did in year 1 in consecutive years.

Get a good OC and get tf out the way. If u want bro style get a bro style OC and get tf out the way. Paul Johnson won the ACC running that 1940 offense. It sucked *** but it was his, he knows the in and outs, the weaknesses, the checks.

OC cant operate when he knows whats wrong and is hampered when trying to make changes if the opponent adjusts.

I agree with you. I’m leaning towards Dawson is just an average OC rather than Mario is incredibly restrictive.

When watching the sidelines it doesn’t look like Dawson is getting Mario’s blessing. But what could be happening that we don’t see is Mario heavily dictating the game plan pregame and filtering what plays are on call sheet.

Either way I don’t care. In conference games we are only marginally better than 2022 Gattis, which never in a million years did I think was possible.
