North Carolina has given up over 600 rush yards to Baylor!! Not total yards, ONLY rushing yards...the most in any bowl game in history...the previous record was 564 by Nebraska over Florida in 1996... and some people wanted Gene Chizik as DC...lmao....

Still only have 6 in the box, safeties 10-15 yards back. This is a Dorito-esque performance from Chizik
 
Baylor has lost all their QBs and yet their still ramming it down UNC's throats...
 
And guys still like Chizik as DC. Nothing about Chizik says he should be DC here. He will play a soft coverage behind an aggressive front. Which is counter productive, imo.
Especially when facing talented teams.
I've seen him do it far too often.


And i dont like his Dline stunts either. He gambles way too much.

Johnny Jefferson is an absolute stud, should be in the Heisman talk next year. Love the fact that there running spread single wing and UNC can't do a **** thing about it.
 
Chizik is a genius though.

This was clearly a coaching failure. Imagine this fan base if he'd agreed to come here as DC off that performance.
 
They are doing this with players that barely play...you can't prepare for something that hasn't been shown all year long. Baylor had the element of surprise without even trying. Their whole game plan is centered around players that have little to no film on them while they have loads of film on a traditional Chizik defense, including what Clemson did to beat them.
 
And UM loses 59-21 to these pu***** while letting them trash the U.
 
Bad thing was the commentators even said they know Baylor is going to run and they still can't stop them...

Kinda reminds me of our last 5 years here

First off fellas, I love the blog I've been on here like an addict since I discovered CI a few weeks ago! Cane Heaven!

So in my first reply I gotta say you guys are all wrong about Coach Chizik. My Little brother is Donnie Miles, Starting safety and leading tackler (former carol city chief also, sorry had to get him out of Miami Gardens) and from what he says about coach Chiz and the difference in the product they had on the field last year the man is the real deal. Ive watched every one of their games the past two years and this one was so bad for a few reason and it wasnt coach Chizik. Firstly Unc's weakness all year has been the run but since they usually go up so fast other teams are force to pass which plays into their strength. Secondly their best dt Naz Jones didnt play, yes its one player but he's really the best thing on the line by a long shot. Plus if Baylor has an NFL built oline, those guys were huge and they ran 100 plays probably 90 were runs. UNC had no chance in this one.

Truth be told Gene is the only reason they are playing in that Game and the man will be a Head coach in a year or two, Its wishful thinking to think we could get him to move laterally and be our DC, I'd take him in a heartbeat though!
