For those of us that realize Butch is a long-shot to get the job and probably won't get the job, who do you think is the best/hottest coach right now? What current head coaches do you believe would listen and have interest in the job if the board called?

I think Tom Herman is the hottest coach right now. Curious to hear other opinions. I think Mark Richt, Dan Mullen, Mark Dantonio, Dana Holgerson, Rich Rod, Mike Leach would listen and have interest? Any others?

I'm a little hesitant with Charlie Strong now as opposed to before but I think he could succeed here. He was kind of gifted Teddy and that had a lot to do with his success. If he came here he would be gifted Kaaya and would have only the defense to worry about. He would destroy recruiting down here. All the kids from the city would be dying to play for him lol

Right says the group of people that want to hire a coach that is sitting on his couch and hasn't coached in years. Unbelievable lol. Only at TheU would the fans top candidates be an OL Coach and a coach that hasn't done anything since 2000 smh.

That's exactly how I feel with Strong being my #1 . People really underestimate the rebuild job he had on his hand at Texas. He inherited a very bad team at Texas and is 2 plays away from being 6-4 (A missed PAT, The punter fumbling the ball inside the 30 to give OK ST the game tying FG). Add on that a W against what looks to be one of the best teams in the country Oklahoma. Strong here at Miami especially with the right OC hire could be a very dangerous combination.

He inherited a team that won 9 games and 8 games the year prior. Then he proceeded to absolutely **** the bed worse than I've ever seen at a P5 school. He's done one of the worst jobs at a major program in recent memory. Al Golden, who no one would deny walked into a mess, and who no one would deny was an absolute horror, did better at Miami than Strong has done at Texas. Think about that.
