Well, I don’t know who a lot of those guys are so this seems reasonable. Except Lashlee who just whipped them. And Riley. And obviously Dawson. And really anybody else I’ve heard of.

Good Lord! I thought he was going to break out crying during his little speech. If you haven’t watched these few minutes of this press conference you should.

I have never in sports seen anybody so defeated, so weak and pathetic. I almost feel sorry for him but then I know he’s got about 80 million reasons to not be sad.

I’ll tell you who I don’t feel sorry for: their ****** fǔçked up fan base. When they had their little run a couple of years ago, I’ve never experienced a more arrogant and ignorant fan base.

Those of us that attend games, either in Tallahassee or when they play here, know exactly what I’m talking about.

Fü.ck their fans. I hope FSU stays down for the remainder of my life. They deserve this a million times over and for the rest of their lives.

Also, please miss me with the “we need FSU to be good”. We don’t need them to be good. We want them to be a dead program.
I have yet to see any evidence that any of their fans ever said they needed Miami to be good when we were down.

We all know the coaching circle is a brotherhood.

FSU tried to go after Kiffin while Norvell was still the HC and many don't play that sh't. I don't see them pulling anyone top-tier for this reason.

Norvell clearly isn't the guy but you don't back door someone like that and fail. Then think he will give a f'ck about putting effort in.

Yes and no... I think these guys play the fraternal card when it suits them, but they will all stab each other in the back for the right opportunity. Heck, look at recruiting.

I really think the conversation hinges on what type of commitment FSU makes to their football program. We were never in the dire straits FSU is currently going through, but we all knew the correct commitment and coach would find success here.

I do think FSU could be dangerous in recruiting again with the right coach and everything. But if they have to pay over $50M to just get off the current staff, how much can they pay to build an elite staff? If I was say Schumann or Weiss and they gave me $50M for the roster and $25M to build the staff that would be hard to turn down.

But that’s pushing $200M for an athletic department that’s currently deep in the red to fund. They aren’t LSU or Michigan where money isn’t an object.

We were definitely in a similar spot whereby the sport was quickly leaving us behind. We didn't bottom out to the tune of 2-10 like they did, though, so you're right about that. That's really special at a school like FSU. We had some real jerkoffs coaching here, but even some talent would fall in their lap. What saved us was money. Richt was essential getting this process started, then we did stupid UM stuff with Manny, and now with Mario we can see has very competitive resources. We got a guy in place with which people with serious dollars were willing to invest. FSU can circle jerk all they want over their wish list of coaches, but if you don't put competitive dollars behind the guy, you can't consistently win.

I found the graphic on ESPN during the game that Golden was second to Mario in wins over that last 20? Years
