can they afford it ? What’s his buy out 50 million ? New coach closer to 100 million . Nil yeah idc either way they’re fcked . They can’t out recruit Mario prior or nil must less broke. Yes, they can afford it this season. Don’t know if they’ll pull the trigger, but Norvell has been notified. For the record, their camp is EXTREMELY concerned about Miami’s resurgence.

They will find money I believe, there were always stories we aint have money (and I disagreed for so long, its Miami) so in the inside people can pocket that ****. When leadership changes they find money imo, so there isn't any way he survives. All this other **** like they "cant compete in the NIL era" is for fans to feel sorry for them to keep those fans on board and they receive an excuse and pity. Once they fire this dude they will have bread and if its the right hire they will come back up, but I doubt they have their own Mario. I dont see a Mario for them so they are in deep trouble. Herman may be their best bet

I want them in mediocrity for at least another century. Then they can have 8-10 wins seasons.

Had no idea he’s been at GT going on 5-6 years now.

It would be a weird hire, if he didn’t go to FSU no one would even think of him as a candidate given his coaching history. Only positive on paper is he would be cheap but are the donors willing to give him $ to work with or are they just buying time to pay off the Norvell disaster?

Never said I understood the logic but he was very sure of the timing and how it will go down. And he stated it will be Weinke because it will quiet to alumni/boosters without costing very much. We will see.

They either gotta get a big school coordinator with no HC experience or find a guy experienced at small schools on G5 or FCS level. They won't have the pull to lure a big timer to them with the mess they are in. Schumann at Georgia, the DC at Indiana, or some other unknown guy. If I was them I'd kick the tires on the new UCLA coach Chesney who was at JMU before.
 
My Nole source [solid booster but not a whale] says Herman was hired to take over if the bottom drops out. He will get two years and by then money should be manageable. They believe they are positioned to join one of the expected mega conferences and will make a splash hire at that time. Some are talking Weinke, but the big money wants a proven rebuilder with enough credibility to jumpstart recruiting again…..

This makes sense assuming that Save College Sports bill doesn’t run amok on everyone’s plans. But they’re a tainted brand now so who’s to say either P2 even wants them at this point. SEC already has a Florida school, and Miami has to be in front of FSU for BiG. There’s a path but it’s narrow.
