Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

Didn’t Nick Saban say they had the best d line in the country before they went 2-10?
Not only Saban, but most of the national media had FSU with the #1 d-line going into the '24 season.

I thought it was a bit of a stretch for some of the media and publications to have them #1 considering who they lost and who they brought back. I thought their d-line would also be good, but definitely not #1. Their d-line underperformed for sure.

Here are some of the departures/additions on the d-line. I'm just putting the players with production or made somewhat of a contriubution.

2023 Key Departures:
Fabien Lovett SR...good player, but not great. UDFA in the NFL that year
Braden Fiske... All ACC
Jared Verse...All American (First team)

Had a few other departures that made some contribution or were rotational players, but I wouldn't consider a big loss

2024 Key Returns/Additions:
Patrick Payton...Good player, but was never All ACC 1st,2nd, or 3rd team at any time
Josh Farmer...Good player, but same as Payton. Never all ACC at any point
Daniel Lyons...played in a handful of games in '23 as a RS FR. Minimal contribution. Thought to be a breakout player for '24 season
Byron Turner...Rotational player who made some contributions in '23, but not great, JAG
Darrell Jackson JR...Pretty much sat out the '23 season, but showed signs he can be a good player at previous stops. Lot of hype with this guy
Marvin Jones JR...Really just had the name. Was never a good player or productive at UGA before transferring to FSU.
Sione Lolohea...Oregon State transfer. Productive in '23, but never All Pac 12 at any time. JAG
Grady Kelly...Colorado State transfer. Rotational piece there. JAG

All their other additions/returning players were JAGS or worse.

So, after the 2023 season, they lost a two-time All American, an All ACC, and another good, key contributing player. The rest of the guys they lost were JAG's. Before the 2024 season, they returned 2 good players, two ultra hyped players based off the name or body measurements that didn't do much (or anything) in '23, and a bunch of JAG's and rotational players. Somehow, the '24 line was supposed to be better than '23?

Is his goofy *** really doing this or AI? I got it off the Noles 247 board.

You guys are not going to believe this.

Reliaquest, a Tampa-based company founded by an F$U alum...will be sponsoring the F$U jersey patch...but ONLY for basketball...THEY DO NOT WANT THEIR COMPANY NAME ON THE FOOTBALL JERSEY...

I would consider a small investment in that company as they clearly have financial sense and know they don’t want their product associated with garbage.
