See a number of FSU fans excited online about all the guys they can try to bring back with the ruling about 2022 players. So their master plan is to bring back a bunch of players that caused them to suck the last few years and suddenly the team will win. I guess it is that 5th year that will suddenly unlock the players true potential.

The problem starts in high school when some dumbass high school coach cares more about winning meaningless high school games than actually preparing his players to be the best possible player. They put a guy who should be a receiver or DB at quarterback because he’s athletic enough to win games on pure scrambling ability. They want their fastest player to handle the ball on every play. Especially in areas with lesser competition, that dude can just run away from everyone and they rack up points and wins. They just have to throw well enough to keep the defense from totally abandoning pass defense.

We saw it with Jacurri Brown. That dude could have been an all conference type at WR or TE but was dead set on being a quarterback and never had any real college success.

You’re not wrong but these kids gotta be realistic about their skill set and how it’ll translate. It’s some good stories out about kids saying “F’ it… I’m betting on me” and their gamble works. And there are some kids who took the feedback and switched positions and it’s worked out for them too.

I was talking with my boy not too long ago about this very thing and Jauan Jennings is a good example. He could have stubborn, transferred maybe even to a FCS just to stay at QB and looking at who he was ranked ahead of some people would’ve understood. Him listening to his coach (even though it was Butch Jones) was the right move.

Number 38 who got blindsided by 86 ought to catch that kid who hit him with a bat for doing that in practice…that kid got leveled when everyone was going at 1/2 speed….

Their idiot fans were celebrating that run when it happened a handful of years ago. It's an old video from the Willie Taggart era. That #10 qb was a walk-on qb. I cant remember his name. It's not Daniels or anybody on the current team.

Yes, none of the player are even trying in that video and I'm not sure why there was such a cause for a massive celebration after the play.

... Seriously, when were our opponents even named by the ACC. Was a few years back, correct? When Clemson, FSU, Pitt, UNC and Va Tech were all believed to be Top 25 if not playoff level programs. Add in ND, and that would have been considered a very tough draw at the time.
