There are few people's opinion I actually care about in the CFB space, and Bud is one of them. He is objective and well-informed. He loves CFB like the most die-hard of us.

He does a good job with the Summer School podcasts, though his diction can be very annoying at times.

He’s an insufferable douchebag. It works better when you’re acting that way and your team is good, so you’re dunking on rivals. Does not hit the same when you’re doing it to your own fan base.

Yea, I was not a Bud Elliot fan already before FSU started stinking. It’s funny to see them turn on him now for repeatedly pointing out how bad their program is and Norvell is. But they were loving him during the years that we were down and they were good.

Back during the Jimbo years, Budd constantly talked about how FSU was basically an SEC program and that Miami would never be able to compete with them on the field ever again. Just to watch his coach leave for an actual SEC program and them fall off into the depths of ****.

Overall he may be pretty objective and has some good takes. But I'm not giving this guy credit for pointing out the obvious that Norvell is a dog **** recruiter, just because the other retards couldn't see it. The ******* guy needed a 13 win season just to finally crack the top 15 in recruiting. Bobby and Jimbo could do that in their sleep.

FSU was an SEC program during that time.
And Miami could never compete with them.

And then Miami started spending like an SEC program, and FSU started spending like Jimbo era Miami.

That’s a pretty sane take for the time.

Jimbo could barely beat some of those ****** Miami teams. He was mostly carried by Jameis and Dalvin Cook. And a supposed SEC type program doesn't lose their coach to an actual SEC program if you were that type of program. And saying Miami would NEVER compete with FSU again is stupid. As much as I pile on FSU, I'm not dumb enough to say that they'll never compete again.

True story.

About 20 years ago, when Pud first started his website (which was originally open to rival fans, much as this website is), I responded to him a couple of times. Nothing bad, just factual rebuttal. He banned me and blocked me. Tried to reason with him via DMs, but he wouldn't engage.

He may have knowledge, but he has been a complete ******* for decades. And that's not just based on my personal interaction, but how Pud is with EVERYONE.

Bud to FSU is like your best friend telling you your GF is ugly and you not wanting to hear it.

They don’t like him cause he’s telling them what they don’t want to hear or believe.
