Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

FSU is currently ranked 57th in recruiting and UCF is ranked 62nd. Who has the better record this season and who has the better recruiting class?
If Norvell gets fired this year then FSU might get some new coach momentum.
There doesn’t seem to be a lot of FSU interest in a new HC or a NIL boost until they are able to make a move to the P2. When (if) that happens the investment will follow.

Jimbo left the first time because they didn’t have enough money back then.

Doubt he’d come back when they’re even more broke.
Jimbo was a top coach back than now he’s a bottom feeder . Nobody is going to hire Jimbo for $$$ he’ll either coach for cheap and work his way back up or not coach at all

Why would Jimbo want to coach though? He’s got more money than he could ever want, he’s already in his sixties, and he’s got a nice job on the ACC Network.

Their team has dropped off across the board since 2023, not just at QB. They never recruited H.S. well. They hit on transfers at a really high rate for a year or so, but didn't have the core/depth behind them. Not to mention the landscape for acquiring transfers has continued to evolve and has left them behind. Now they can't acquire talent either through the portal or H.S. recruiting and they get buried deeper and deeper with every passing cycle of player acquisition. Would they have won a few more games had they had a better QB last season, I guess maybe. The issue is the years of incompetence and failure in the area of talent acquisition that leaves them in no position to acquire a better QB. In fact, it's only getting worse as A. Daniels is likely not even as good as Catellanos. They're getting the QBs they deserve and the results that go with it.
FSU is hurting at AD, head coach, and roster quality. Major rebuild needed from the top down. Then some $ boosters might step up. Until then? Nada.

season has not started yet so the pain FSU is feeling now is nothing compared to what will happen to them on the field as they get bent over time and time again for another season

Manny is 18-9 at Duke and there’s nobody I’d want FSU to hire more than him because I know he’ll never recruit good enough. It’s just that he’s not going to win 9 games again this year and FSU might sour on him. Duke’s non conference schedule has Tulane and Illinois (not pushovers) and their conference slate has us, Clemson and Virginia. They do get Wake, BC, UNC, Stanford and NC State which are all very winnable conference games. But expecting more than 6 wins might be a little too much to ask.
Who replaces Mensah? Thats the key for Duke.

Yeah, unfortunately I think his health will prevent him from coaching much longer.

Hartline may surpass them.

My guess is it may be Manny and a couple of other G5 guys that no one is even thinking of right now.

I could see Alex Golesh having a successful first season at Auburn, and FSU pulling another Willie Taggart and hiring him.

Well, manny has to have a season at Duke without mensah. He went 7-5 WITH mensah, so the manny dream will likely come crashing down
He went 9-4 without Mensah in 2024. There’s still a good chance that he pulls out a decent season and FSU throws a bunch of money at him.

Why would he do that? That’s a serious downgrade
