Idk what people be thinking that we were ok under Manny. We were complete dog **** bruh, it feels like the longer the years go by that he wasn't the coach the stories about him get better. Dude is like a politician bruh, I bet in 10 years he could be at ESPN from being fired and they will have a special about how good he was. By 20 years they will talk about how he went undefeated and paved the way for Mario and jump started Miami's dynasty. I cant help but laugh man, idk how he does it man he is a magician. He is good at something though, doing nothing but doing something. By 30 years he will be immortal somehow.

See what happened to FSU with Norvell is the same trajectory Manny was going. Thats what happens when you keep them. We were smart and made the move everyone ripped us for. You knew it was the right move when the media was on Manny side, they aint want us back and we were proven right

Many - some even here on CIS - felt Miami was done a CFB power. 20 years of mediocrity made an 8-4 season look good. The true fans needed to temper expectations. Hire coaches with the magic playbook in Miami could possibly have good seasons with those South Florida athletes, those convinced to stay home.

Thankfully, some people with deep pockets decided enough was enough.

It hasn’t been easy, but this program is light years away from where it was four years ago.

A few in college football media are talking about a dynasty in Coral Gables. I don’t know if that’s possible anymore in the current landscape of college football, but I believe Mario has the program on the brink of being a powerhouse and believe he will bring a national championship home where it belongs.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here to hazard a guess that...if a not-highly-urbanized county wastes all of its "economic development" budget on upgraded ****ters in a college football stadium that they don't own which only hosts 7 events per year...then that county MIGHT NOT see a lot of economic development that impacts the local businesses...

****, I should really try to keep my tax-brain common sense in check...

As a side note, to articulate a weird Seinfeld-related thought that I just had...can you imagine if the F$U employees who have offices inside of Doak Campbell are secretly using the upgraded stadium ****ters instead of the ones in their offices?

So let's break this down.

Absent upsets, F$U could go 1-7 in ACC play (only beating Boston College).

For the OOC games, F$U could go 2-2, as they are not going to beat Alabama or Florida.

Realistically, F$U could go 3-9. And yet these guys are talking about "going to a bowl game". So F$U would need 3 upsets to get to 6-6.

Not happenin', captain.

You are totally right yet somehow I envision us getting into a dogfight with them and making me insane. I almost climbed onto my roof last season when they were lining up for that onside kick.

I knew you would love that article.

The article also made me think about donors and incoming funds too, though. I know a lot of the alums with money don’t live in Leon County, but if the county is doing that badly, it’s also impacting what the school is getting in ticket sales, smaller donations, and other miscellaneous revenue. They need every dollar right now.
 
I don’t think they can do worse than Mike Norvell. Do you know how hard it is to have 4 losing seasons in 6 years at FSU? It’s **** near impossible to have a two win season but this bum has done both. The best thing that could possibly happen is for them to pull a few upsets this year and win enough to keep him around another season.
 
I don’t see any way that FSU has more than 5 wins. They went from an electric potential QB to a ******* bum.
