There's no need for a spinoff because the explanation is all within the show. And I can explain the whys behind Chris and the movie-making and how it all led to his death, but this is already clogging up the FSU thread so if we want to continue we should start a new one on the OT board.
I am sure that I hated The Wire, so much so that I couldn't even get through the whole show. It was too boring and too frustrating, and I hated how uneven the quality was. I understand why others liked it, but it's not for me. There are great elements, but for me they do not outweigh the flaws. I also think that for me, the symbolism about the systemic corruption was something that I already knew so much about. So that's why I understand why people liked it and thought it was special (especially at the time), but to me it was obvious. But that's why I don't argue with people about it, because I'm not trying to convince anyone else that it sucks; that's just my opinion of why it didn't work for me.
Is unique good or bad?
