Jimbo Fishers Burner gets it. We've all been saying this for a while now about FSU when we see their videos where they are touting up these scrubs. They look like G5 or even FCS players.

We have never looked that small and unathletic overall, but we had some deficiencies in certain position groups a few years ago. Reminds me a little before the '23 season. There was a video showing our linebackers doing some random drills. Nobody was doing them wrong, but there was just major physical and athletic differences between a few of the linebackers.

We had just got Kiko, and he and Bissanthe were the only two out of that group that looked like they could play for an FBS squad. I don't think most of the incoming freshman linebackers were in that video, maybe Bobby Washington, and it was before we got KJ Cloyd from the portal. Thank God we got him and Kiko from the portal because we were hurting bad at that position.

They look like the Texas state armadillos roster from necessary roughness, minus a qb with Scott bakula’s skillset

Everyone has homers man, I remember this under our old regimes. You had guys like DBC saying undefeated when the team wasn't even high end in first round NFL guys. Crazy thought process fans had and I see that is every fan base. When you are down bad bruh fans refuse to accept it man. Anyone saying FSU going undefeated dont even believe it themselves

This is Hopium at its best. You are right, I remember seeing this the last... god **** too many years. Here it seems there is a constant battle between the Mopes and the Hopes.

Proof of concept was on the trail and portal, we good now. The only reason Norvell had that one good year cause the elite recruiters did not value transfers until Verse and them boys. That ended the following year

Yep, he struck gold in the portal for 2 years. He was one of the few coaches that really looked to the portal for talent. I have to give him credit for that. Schools like Bama, UGA, Texas, OSU might have got a few good players here and there, but only because those players wanted to go to that school. Those guys weren't spending all their time and energy on the portal. Now, they pretty much have to do that in order to stay competitive. Dabo the idiot even refused to take transfers from the portal until recently.

If you look at Norvell's teams since he has been there, 90% of his good or contributing players are via the portal. That's a very bad percentage. Seriously, I can probably name only 5-6 players that were recruited under Norvell that have turned out to be decent or contributors. Look at Miami, we are probably around 50%, which is a little higher than where I would like it to be. Still a lot better than FSU and some other school. I believe we are trending in the right direction with our recruits being starters and making more of an impact. It's only going to get worse for Norvell.

Small undersized guys at times and when we had bigger guys they weren't good, or they were to be thee guy with the rest of the OL in shambles. Horrible roster manangement then especially when you see how Mario has done it.

After Mario got hired and said "We know how it looks" that was all I needed to hear to know he would succeed. I remember always seeing UGA and Bama and say to myself they just looked like old Miami even walking out the tunnel, they did not even have to play and you could see it. Now everything is back to normal.

I remember going to the Miami/Bama game in Atlanta in 2021 and watching both teams walk from the buses. It was insane how much bigger Bama players were. I was just holding out hope we could pull off a stunner. I knew when Mario was hired he would fix the LOS
