I am human, God forgive me, I still hate Coker to this day for being asleep at the wheel of the greatest college football program in the nation. And Paul Dee and Shalala for defunding the program, promoting Shannon from a failed staff and allowing the Shapiro / NCAA thing to happen. I even get why they promoted Coker. But everything was preventable.

Nah, don't feel bad. No need to ask for forgiveness. Coker is the worst. He's never compared to or is hated as much as the terrible 3 (Shannon, Golden, Diaz), but Coker is 10x worse in my opinion. I would take any of those 3 over Coker. But, but, but...Coker won a championship. Please, spare me. Everybody knows a newborn infant could have been given title of head coach of that 2001 team and won the championship.

I know this is Nole Tears, so I'll try to get back to that. Hopefully, we see Norvell and co over/under recruiting certain positions which hurts them for years. I know with the transfer portal, it might be easier to mask over/under recruiting at specific positions. Obviously, we didn't have that luxury of the portal when Coker was messing up recruiting. Regardless, as long as they have Norvell, FSU will continue to miss big targets in recruiting and the portal.

Yes, he would have won. I'm not a Randy Shannon fan by any means, but he's not losing with that team. He was the DC that year and did a tremendous job. Granted, he had bunch of NFL guys littered on that defense, but he coached to their talent.

Put Shannon as the HC and he still might have some say in the defense. He's going to let the offense do their thing. Doesn't matter if he's involved with both offense and defense, that team's not losing. Golden would win it, Diaz would win it, Stats02 would win it, BALLHAWKU would win it.
