Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

You are now just trolling me looking to create issues it seems? This was done and over-with days ago and you, like an impetuous child, chose to revisit and respond to a post made now 10 days ago. Quite the ***** thing to do, especially as a great and powerful moderator on Canes Insight.

Are moderators here to escalate or de-escalate?

I clearly chose to de-escalate and you chose the opposite.

You've earned your place? Wow your parents must be so proud! Congrats and GFY loser.

You are clearly not rugged enough to handle the Tears threads, and I suspect you will be escorted out.

Certainly, the Tears threads are not the proper forum in which to attack moderators.

Buh-bye.

It was equally a hot mess by all participants! It’s really Sad and Satisfying at the same time to see a once proud program so saddled down by football foolishness!

"Football Foolishness" is the title of the 2025 FSU football highlight(s) video...

Trolling? I simply responded to your post the next time I came on the board. I didn’t attack you, never called you names, nothing.

But I’m not bothered. If you are going to stick around, you’ll learn.

Regarding the motto, it’s a line from The Golden Girls, spoken by Blanche, the character in my profile. The Golden Girls thing is a bit of a joke among several of the Maudes. That’s all.

Isn't he the same dope who didn't understand the "Offcial" spelling in the thread title?

I see out of the three you chose the promiscuous one 😜😭

'06 was rough. We were lining up Buck Ortega and Brian Monroe at WR. Then there was the Spring where Kevin Olsen was the only healthy QB. A lot of big recruits weren't bothering to visit. But we always won at least 5 or 6 games. FSU will be very lucky I think to reach that this season.
That still baffles me. How we failed not only to recruit enough blue chip wide receivers to keep necessary numbers, but any wide receivers. Certainly there were three star wide receivers that we could have gone after in 2004-2006! We entered 2006 with just six, and by mid season were down to only three.

There were severeal reasons. Coker and some of his staff were notoriously lazy recruiters. They went off lists and were not as keen on personal evals. Thye also brought an attitude of the program should sell itself. This was also the time that other big programs, particularly the SEC schools went crazy with the bag game. Before NIL there were just a lot of guys we couldn't compete for. There was no way we could really get into the game because we were under the microspcope going back to the Pell Grant sanctions era. You see how bad we got screwed from boat trips and Benihana dinners. Imagine if we had been handing out cars and 6 figure bags.

As for not even being able to build a roster with placeholder WRs, that's just gross roster mismanagement. They aimed high and didn't want to settle for second teir guys, eventually getting desparate and bringing in guys like George Robinson, who didn't break 200 ayrds on his high school team. Bad times indeed.

2003 - no new WRs signed (I believe Devin Hester enrolled, but he signed in 2002, THANKS, CHUCKY AMATO...)
2004 - 4-star Lance Leggett, Khalil Jones
2005 - no WRs signed
2006 - 4-star Sam Shields, George "Hands of Stone" Robinson
2007 - 4-star Leonard Hankerson, Jermaine McKenzie, Daniel Adderley

2004 WR stats - Leggett was 5th on the team with 17 receptions, Khalil Jones had 0
2005 WR stats - Leggett was 6th on the team with 15 receptions, Khalil Jones was 13th on the team with 2 receptions
2006 WR stats - Leggett was 2nd on the team with 38 receptions, Shields was 3rd on the team with 37 receptions, Khalil Jones was 12th on the team with 5 receptions
2007 WR stats - Shields was 2nd on the team with 27 receptions, Leggett was 3rd on the team with 15 receptions, Hankerson was 11th on the team with 6 receptions, Khalil Jones was 14th on the team with 1 reception
2008 WR stats - Shields and Hankerson were tied for 9th on the team with 11 receptions each, Khalil Jones was 13th on the team with 5 receptions

Five years of recruiting. Seven recruits signed.

Five years of play. Brutal results. Two guys went over 30 receptions, both of them in 2007.

That's 190 receptions by 7 guys over 5 years. Malachi Toney will beat that, by himself, in 2 years.
