My 35 pound Frenchie received an offer by them as well. Here was his reaction:

They're very excited but explain how this fsu math is a win other than they keep the two players.

Old contract for each brother was roughly $1m total for 3 years or $333k per year plus a $600k buyout each.

FSU was trying to offer them $800k per year and keep the buyout in place.

Player reps pushed back against the buyout, so the negotiations took longer. Blowhard isn't reporting what the new buyout is but it's probably significantly reduced from $600k each.

At the end of all this each twin is getting $800k per year plus a reduced buyout (assumed) Mandrel is probably worth the $800k but they overpaid for Daryl based on his brother's performance. If they're not happy next year, they'll do the same thing because they know Fsu will fold.

He just admitted that FSU delayed entry on a technicality to reduce their market value.

That program is POISON.
